Thor wasn't terrible.
Sure, the costume design was pretty bad and plastic looking and Natalie Portman's performance was pretty shitty, but overall it was an entertaining superhero flick that managed to keep you hooked until the end.
At least they didn't CGI his costume.... like that [i]other[/i] recent superhero movie that should not be discussed.

He's a bit old, but according to the comics Tony Stark got his chest reactor in the Vietnam war unless I am mistaken. If it follows the comics it's right more or less, if it follows the movies then either Tony ages very slowly or his father knocked up a chick at like 80-90.

If you guys want to argue the Starks' ages, look at the actors. Sr was born in '37 and Jr in '65. So maybe Stark Sr was born 10 years before Downey Jr's dad and it's still sort of plausible?

In the comics they updated it to the afghan war, which is why the movie has that too.

Speaking of which, did you know The Thing and Mr. Fantastic used to be vietnam vets in the comics? True story, the only origin they havent updated yet so far has been for the punisher, always Vietnam, but now he's been killed, turned into robo-frankenstien, and reborn like, twice, so i doubt they'll change it for age reasons for quite some time.
