Wow. If that happened to me, then I'd plainly never play again.
Seems terrible. If that happened to him twice in a row, it seems like logging off and spawning next to people is a massive problem.
glad he cut down on the nipple viking crap
the game doesn't look too bad- it looks like its meant to be played in 3rd person or something.
I hope this improves later during the alpha/beta, it doesn't look too good now.
having played war z since the alpha release it I think that its a good game sure, it has its problems, but there are frequent updates and the community is being listened to if you play it though, make sure you do it with friends.
Looks a lot better than DayZ
Is the long logging out in there to prevent people from disconnecting during firefights or was it just a bug or something?
Robbaz, prime bandit material and all around asshole. :v: [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline]
Is the long logging out in there to prevent people from disconnecting during firefights or was it just a bug or something?
Its to prevent people disconnecting in the middle of fights but a few patches back it had issues where it'd hit 0 and hold you there for another 4 seconds for no reason. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline]
Looks a lot better than DayZ
Yeah, its got no anti-cheat currently though and the devs don't have it on high priority, they want to ship features first before it goes into the beta, we've had pre-alpha and now its in alpha.
I currently really prefer playing DayZ. WarZ doesn't feel close to as rewarding it misses alot of the stuff i like about arma 2 like map grids, nightskies, compasses. It doesn't have the survival feel to it.
Is the long logging out in there to prevent people from disconnecting during firefights or was it just a bug or something?
He was just trying to log out like before, but someone (person or a zombie) killed him while he was trying to log out.
I want to play this now
Looks a lot better than DayZ
it is a ton less buggy than day z, but day z is much more in depth.
The animations are horrible atm
I'm having plenty of fun with it as well. There are a lot of idiots who kill you for no reason but you still run across nice people. I spawned near a small town and all of a sudden it was full of people who were friendly, we holed up together for a while and helped each other out with weapons and food.
The zombies seem really underwhelming.
The zombies seem really underwhelming.
Seems better than every zombie being an Olympic runner.
At least you can hit the zombies, unlike in Day Z where they seem to teleport half the time instead of walking.
Maybe they should increase the spawn rate?
I thought it was better than this.
Looks a lot better than DayZ
They both look like crap.
Looks a lot better than DayZ
The way it is now it looks like DayZ is a lot better. I'm sure if they polish it up a lot it'll be better, though.
I've played both WarZ and DayZ and we both have to come to a compromise and just admit both of the games are fucking shit. They're the first of their kind though, paving the way for better and more optimized zombie survival "MMOs" Neither one is better over the other, since they both do different things better than each other. Stop this stupid fanboy shit and just stay on whatever side of the fence you want 'til someone releases a proper zombie survival game.
I predict there are going to be a lot of "mercenary" type people that just want to kill everyone they see and try to be a badass instead of actually working with people to survive, like I would expect in a game like this.

We can only really judge Dayz on the new improved engine around december. They now have the team that made that engine at hand, and the same team worked on arma 3 so they surely can copy alot of improved engine features over in another compatibility way. I also really like how dayz will have an weapon degradation system, shoot at your helmet = helmet might be damaged or destroyed. Shoot at the gun = damaged weapon which may still work or wont, it can jam and look different. You can't compare a game to a mod, wait for dayz alpha! People seem to forget this all the time. Too bad the devs lied a lot when this was first announced.
isn't this in the alpha or something like that?
The way he says "Hello" in that "I'm too stoned for my own good" nervous way, it always makes me laugh. Whenever he hears the faintest sound, he'll look up and say in his most disarming voice "Hello" and ah he's so high haha
Too bad the devs lied a lot when this was first announced.
And people believed it.
