My eyes have pulled the longest ruse on me... I have just now, quite literally, realized that it's "Remasted" and not "Remastered". That looks pretty good though, can't wait for actual online implementation weeks after release.

This will be fixed within the next few months though, and even then its better than launching with LAN only like they originally were going to do.
I hope this becomes a hit. The Ship is so much fun when you play with people that actually know how to play the game, and not just try to maintain constant line of sight with their quarry

I'm going to force every single one of my friends into this purchase. Everyone here do the same or fuck you. Ya that's right.
They say comparison but nothing is being compared!
Honestly I just see the same map but with some L4D2 Vaseline on the lenses. Other than that everything else looks the same, right down to the models, they couldn't try for some design change or something? Really make it feel remastered? If the gameplay and animations are the same then I don't think I would be interested.
After seeing this, immediately bought it. I advise you the same; its discounted even further if you own the original.

The biggest problem they stated with the source version was that they didn't own and couldn't afford licenses to a bunch of stuff after they bought the IP which meant that they weren't actually able to make any changes or updates to the game. I really loved the game, but it's shown time and time again that it's just not a game that people can play for extended periods. Everyone gets really hype over the nostalgia of it each time there's a sale or free weekend, then people get bored of it after 1-2 days. Maybe they could extend the lifetime artificially with things like leaderboards/stats, achievements etc but I still can't see it becoming the kind of game with a long lifetime.
