ICE He just posted this
that dude is freakishly out of proportion with his environment
Environment looks spectacular as usual but the model of the character is just a little off.. Not just proportion wise, though.

Imagine just playing some game and then coming across that freak silently dancing through your game world, that would actually be pretty creepy.
I don't think anything can make me love this engine less. In fact this video made me love it more.
Being in a long-distance relationship, all I can say is
WHY MUST YOU INCLUDE SKYPE SOUNDS IN VIDEOS
Wonder if he's still rocking two Titans.

You're just jealous of his spectacular dance moves

He said this video was on a single titan.
I love the amazing music he used in this showcase

A titan rendering a titan.
When will the magnificence end?
People should just always put in message tone sounds like skype, facebook, steam just to fuck with people.

I had to rewind just to be sure, despite not having opened skype in months.
This is the same engine used for this video, right?

Looks pretty good. I really like the renderdistance and ability to handle complexity. Its just a shame the dark spots look so damn grainy. According to youtube, this is why:
the grain is due to the speed of rendering. The priority is on getting results fast, and not on removing noise. It's not an artistic thing, it's necessary to run realtime.
Looks nice but earlier footage looked much better. Can't tell if it's cherry-picking or the art team's assets.

Yeah, path tracers are notoriously noisy, due to how they're built (They have no predefined "this is how this scene renders" logic, it's basically a brute force solver). The only way to get rid of the noise is either let the scene converge (i.e. freeze everything in the scene and let the rendering code run until it has a good result for each pixel), or apply some form of noise smoothing code that blurs the scene, but that'd also make it look like crap.
The fact that this is done in real time is pretty damn amazing, it can take my CPU hours to converge on a simple scene at a fairly low res, while this is doing it multiple times a second.
Not even cloud point data can fix the uncanny valley
gtx titan, $1000
real time path-traced half naked giant dancing, priceless
