Shit, waking up while falling must be one hell of a shock. That's like the beginning of Predators.
If he is unconscious, how did he keep turning his head?
If he is unconscious, how did he keep turning his head?
I would say he was unconscious for a few seconds, but came to and was dazed out of his mind. Ever see a fighter take a hit and stumble around not knowing day it is? That sort of thing
If he is unconscious, how did he keep turning his head?
His head is bobbing around due to the air resistance
If he is unconscious, how did he keep turning his head?
It was probably flopping about like his arms and legs.
If he is unconscious, how did he keep turning his head?
Imagine what a limp body would do while falling at 120 miles per hour.
That's some pretty incredible footage right there - in my home county too. Good job he had some dudes with him who had their wits about them.
Isn't there some kind of safety mechanism that automatically deploys the chute at a certain height? I don't know shit about chutes though so w/e.

Original(?) uncut version.
End of the weekend 12 way tracking dive. I was above, off right to the rabbit and starting to close down and in when a fellow jumper hit the back of my head in freefall at very high speed. They landed fine with a small cut and imprint of the camera button from the back of my helmet - and one very sore leg! I was completely knocked out and started regaining conciousness shortly after 2 other friends have a hold of me. Later on I did make it to A&E where I was checked over with warnings of further post concussion symptoms. Big thanks to the individuals who helped and quick decisions. N.B. Everyone's kit on that jump contained an AAD (Automatic Activation Device) and everyone landed safe.
However I'll note that if he wasn't in the right position when the chute automatically opened it would have simply tangled.
