I love how he didn't even mark which one was which or sync it
I assume the Switch version is the crappier looking.
There's actually not much noticeable difference other then the skybox, some colors and the shadows.
Also if you take a closer look at 0:40 the Switch version actually has better draw distance for some reason.

Considering the screen size tbh it may as well look the same
I mean shit considering the size of the console there isn't that much of a difference, not that theres that much to render
When I get a switch I'm definitely getting this. Looks like a nice little game.

That's not better draw distance. It's the PS4 version having much higher quality DOF.
It should also be noted that the PS4 version runs at 60 fps, whereas the Switch version runs at 30.
Still impressive nonetheless, especially since the Switch isn't even a month old and devs have probably yet to figure out most of the system's quirks.
I really want this game on PC.

Except the hardware's been available to everyone for years. It's a Tegra X1. I don't really care much for direct comparisons of visual quality, but 60hz is a must-have for a lot of genres and the Switch isn't pulling its weight there so far. It hasn't proven itself to be able to output the level of quality expected in 2017 at high, stable framerates.
The only thing this video is showing me, is that ps4 players are fucking slow.
The game look fun ! :o
Here a better comparaison:

Lower vertical resolution than Dreamcast games in portable mode, damn.
Had an interview at Sumo. Great devs.
Really gorgeous game. This in my mind is what Yooka Laylee should've gone for, that same feel but unique mechanics and gorgeous modern visuals. Instead it looks so ... empty.
Holy shit this game looks so good. How have I never heard of it? It's so beautiful and fun looking!
I played this game on Switch. Damn the mechanic of wrapping around objects is tough. I was raging a little.
Fun game though.
the only problem that i have with this game is that you'll be fighting with the camera a lot, specially in tight areas with many monkey bars to hang on since the camera can get stuck on one of them.
Apparently update brought tree shadows to Switch version? I haven't got to check on mine yet.
this is definitely a game i'd get for a portable. it looks like good fun but don't think i can sit down and dedicate a few hours towards it in front of a TV or PC. this looks like the sort of goofy little game you'd half-focus on while watching netflix or hanging out with friends, definitely gonna get this

apparently also brought DOF in the cutscenes
Honestly I can excuse the switch on not having DoF or any slight details, I didn't notice much differences until he pointed it out
Portable looks great too when you consider how far away you'll be playing this, looks like what an android ported version would be if one ever came out
That's actually not bad, though it's probably more of a testament to UE4 as an engine rather than the Switch as a console. UE4's TAA is essentially a blessing for console development, it seems.
Still, mostly comparable visuals across the board, with some small additions on PS4 at the same framerate. The Switch isn't a powerhouse by any means, but if it can provide close to current gen visuals on the go (which it seems to be doing no issue), then there will definitely be an appeal for the system. It's just all up to Nintendo to capitalize on that and help win 3rd parties over, even if it isn't for the latest Madden or CoD.

Actually, the PS4 version runs at 30 FPS as well. It can run at 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro though.

"The Switch version of Snake Pass has received a patch and with it comes improved lighting effects and shadows."
