I didn't know it was possible to say so many words without carrying any information across.
"Shakespeare in the flesh?"
I like your stuff Kanye but you REALLY need to start thinking about shit before you say it.
See I get what he's saying, but it's REALLY tough to grab the meaning without struggling. His issue is he like triple says everything, so it's like he's stuttering or something
u aint got the answers sway
to be fair he had a really grating interview with Charlemagne earlier in the day where the guy basically shat all over his album

I hope you realize that's a joke, right? He even said he's Walk Disney, Nike, and Google for crying out loud :v:
Kanye is usually a gigantic parody of himself, but sometimes he's legitimately retarded. This video would be one of those cases.

He was quoting a lot of his songs in this interview. I honestly don't think he actually said anything other than lyrics, not even joking. I recognize all of what he's saying :v:

awww i just was gonna post this
Kanye can make a point when he actually thinks before he speaks but most of the times, he just rants incoherently like a madman, it's really sad to see him like this all the time tbh
Never have i wanted to punch someone square in the face so much.
Boy what a word-diarrhea that was.

I got shit to say
One thing Kanye will never understand is that he really doesn't change people's minds on a considerable level at all. He made a lot of money and a lot of music but it's had no lasting effect.

Kanye West convinced me to stop doing drugs and get out there in life after I listened to all of his albums in one sitting.

how can you even know this, there's millions out there, you can't possibly deduct his music's influence just like that

Comparing himself to things like Shakespeare or Google is just insanity.
There's effecting people emotionally/personally with your music and then there's making genuine changes that effect the entire world as a whole.

"Man this shit's really overrated...I gotta lay off the drugs."

When an artist releases an album named "Yeezus"(In case you don't know, that's mixing his nickname "Yeezy" with Jesus) with a deliberate lack of promotion and it still sells over 300,000 in the first week and ends up reaching platinum, when despite it's aggressive sound, it still was one of the most anticipated albums of 2013 and ends up getting him nominated to two categories for the Grammies, let's not forget piracy by the way, I think that says something for itself.
Big Sean is who he is now because Kanye West influenced him, same with a lot of other musicians out there. His relevance to hip-hop or even music as a whole given his HUGE variety of songs from the sweetest melody to the hardest beat is enormous.
This shit he does all the way outside music isn't even comparable to what his music does, it's a whole new world.
He maybe be an awkward shit when he tries to talk to people but when he makes music, he's not as bad as people think he is.

You can't deny he is influential after years at the top just because he said some dumbshit on a radio show

While you're not wrong with everything you've said, I highly doubt Highschoolers in the year 2414 will groan having to crack open their books and explain the lyrical significance of "New slaves"
Kanye is nothing but a hustler, I hate him.
Even if he is signifigant in the world of hip hop, he is not "the most impactful artist of this generation".

Speaking of "New Slaves"
You see there's leaders and there's followers
But I'd rather be a dick than a swallower
^
Yeezy isn’t exactly good at watching his mouth, and his public image suffers accordingly. Playing off dick swallowing, ‘Ye would rather be a jerk to express the truth and get criticized, than swallow his words and lie or hold his tongue.
Realistically though, if not Kanye who is?
Even if he is signifigant in the world of hip hop, he is not "the most impactful artist of this generation".
no one said he was, there's multiple artist in the hip-hop/rap genre and even more outside of it(which have been even more important) that made impact throughout the last 14 years
but someone can't just say he's not important or relevantly influential
