Looks like the Amityville Horror films finally have some competition for Worst Unnecessarily Franchise Spawned From a Semi-Decent Film.
hot damn can't wait to watch more nothing happen for 2 hours with weaksauce jump scares thrown in every half hour or so
i actually enjoy going to watch these films when they come out. the screams and crying of people from cheap scares is hilarious.

Well they cost literally nothing to make as far as big screen movies go, and rake in millions
First one's budget was $15,000. That's it
It made almost $200mil. The second one cost $3mil and made almost the same as the first, and again, almost the same for the third
Do the paranormal activity game, take 40 shots before the movie so you can die before it starts
Oh sweet, more jump scares and no tension.

The third one was the worst piece of shit I have ever seen.
The first one was incredibly bad.

nobody just fucking sleeps in their clothes on top of their bed unless they're taking a nap or some shit
The first did have quite a bit of creepyness, though the original sounded better (But they couldn't make a sequel out of that ending, so Spielberg shoehorned in some stupid jump scare shit) and the sequels were rubbish.
Still, I usually watch them, just because they are so bad. It's funny how little effort you can put into a movie and yet how much people will act scared of it.
alright, it's cool that you guys can identify jump scares
but that's sort of the point of the horror behind the movies
they're not that cheap, they're well done jump scares
and if you don't think the camera mounted to the fan in the third one wasn't a brilliant way to trap the viewer in tense pattern loop, building suspense, then you're a dingus.
I didn't know they made a third, I've only watched the first two.
I don't like those movies at all though, nothing really happens and when the credits start rolling you feel like you wasted your time watching a fake vlog/surveillance of some random people, with a few lights flicker or some pots and pans fall.
Better than the actual trailer.

I liked the first Paranormal because I'm a sucker for handheld camera type of films ever since Cloverfield, but even I think 2 and 3 were piles of shit.
