That was pretty good. That version of the Battlefield theme is much better than the BF3 theme. I would of preferred some controllable larger ships like the Battleship from BF1942 though, or maybe some sort of Titan mode.

This actually looks really fun, always liked maps like that. BF4 looks like it's returning to a lot of the series' roots, in a way. But...
Why not just a good, solid, orchestral theme DICE? Don't need wub wub bullshit.
Dynamic weather? Boats crashing on shore? Waves in the water?
I said I wouldn't buy BF4 but this trailer is making it hard.

I am interested, but I will wait untill after the release so I can hear how it actually is. Looks more promising than BF3 though. I hope they are gonna do something with the unlock system as well as it'll be a no-no for me when they keep the BF3 system.

Nice to see they're adding map-altering things to more than just one map, I hope there's more than a handful of maps with large, battleship sized changes.
If this has better destruction than BC2 then I will consider buying it.
They sure do know how to make very great action trailers. I do have to say I loved the boat, dynamic weather, and the graphics seemed very, very good. Except that sun, I will always condemn that sun.
It looks like they're doing a good job on this, but with a premium pass already announced, on top of pre-release DLC.. It's making it less appealing to my wallet.
To my mind, I want it. To my wallet, I need to save up for other things.
I have to agree that this looks exactly like BF3.
If nobody had told me the video was of BF4 I probably would have assumed it was of BF3 and it wouldn't even cross my mind that it was of the sequel until the last few seconds of the video.
That's not to say I agree that the game is unnecessary, we don't yet know the full extent of its features and it's entirely possible that it will offer enough to validate its existence.

Heh, they lowered the amount of points suppression assists give you. In BF3 it's 50, in BF4 it's 10.

Except that's not a valid argument since HL2 is a singleplayer, story-based game where as the BF series is mostly multiplayer and unless you add anything really interesting it is going to be the same game.
These are pretty effects and all but I'm still not convinced.

To be honest, it looks like BF3 with sweetFX + some extra stash, if they bring in some nice naval ships(Destroyer, Battleship, maybe even the Submarine) I'd be interested.

I like the changes to water based combat they've made.
Also the Aircraft carrier sinking while people were still on it is pretty cool.
there's a battlefield 2 vibe to the video (reminds me of operation clean sweep specifically)
but shit the wave/boat warfare thing looks really cool
can't wait until burgerpaul launch a destroyer into the air with a stack of C4 or something
