I doubted the game would be any good after E3 last year but this looks fun as fuck now.
So from what I understand it's gonna be sorta like DMC but with MGS themes.

Its looks like a blast to play, Just dont consider it as a Metal Gear Solid game. Consider it as its own and you should be able to enjoy it quite easily.
I'll be buying it, thats for sure.

What? This looks a lot more likely the 2010 version than the 2011 version. They saw the backlash and changed back to how it used to be.

It does look a lot more like the 2010 version but not enough.
Its a huge step down compared to what was shown in 2010
It looks pretty damn brutal, and that seems to be something to love.

Didn't development get handed to another development team? If I remember right "Platinum Games" was never mentioned when the game was just Metal Gear Rising. Would explain the changes.

I like 0:37 - 1:30 but not as a Metal Gear game at all. It seems like it'd be a separate game all together, so if they'd drop the sci-fi from that bit and created a game like Far Cry 2 promised it'd be, mix it with a good character driven story and I'd buy it ASAP.
Seems like the combat is going to be like: juggle enemies with your sword strikes until they are low enough where you can finish them with the "C0oL cuT ANYthiiNG!" gimmick.
Nearly everyone loved the first gameplay trailer to this game. But now, they are just pushing this game closer to the crowd of "action gamers" and farther away from the "stealth action gamers" which helped make their previous games so successful.
Wish they would have gone back to the 2010 model, but its way too late for that now...
Im pretty sure you can still play through this without any Human Kills, maybe even no "alerts" too.

I don't think it was a stealth-action game to begin with, Raiden had little to do with stealth back in MGS4, he would just show up one cut scene and start slashing everything to fuck. I'm sure there will be the occasional enemy patrol that you can sneak up on and cut in half from behind/at a distance (as shown in the trailer), but it's definitely an action game for the most part
