That looks pretty good but I've bought into Bethesda hype way too many times so I'm definitely going to wait on this one.
Thank god they changed the look of the argonians to look more like they did in Skyrim. They almost looked like this: [t]http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2012/10/Elder-Scrolls-Online-Argonians.jpg[/t]
This can be either really good or really average.
This game has way too much of the same smell as SWTOR did. I feel like its going to turn out to be a mediocre WoW clone.
I really don't care about anything but gameplay at this point If it just plays like another MMO, none of this is going to matter to me
It is really pretty though.
Rumor has it, the game style will NOT be click and point. Rather than more like the previous games with hack n slashy goodness.
wow looks like they improved a bunch of stuff.
Watch as towns and cities are 50% smaller.
I'm pleasantly surprised that they seem to be taking their audience seriously and making the necessary changes. Seems like most developers these days just try to make excuses as to why their audience is wrong (Maxis/EA)
They've really improved the character design, though I'm still bugged about the Altmer skin colour.
Oh man I love Sjin
I am really glad the buffed the graphics. I have grown tired of MMOs that have a cartoonish appeal. Where the armor and weapons look thick - as if they are...foam or something.
The Reckoning made me want to further get into an MMORPG even though it's SP. Signed up for TES:O beta and hoping to try it out big time.
They better not fuck up my Dunmer.
I might end up playing it. It looks like they did some nice improvements. It just looks like one of those games where you need to play it and see if it is shit or not
I would like to play this, but it's bound to be like every MMO ever, where in you can't get much done by yourself and you have to spend countless hours grinding.
I'm a bit less pessimistic about this game than before but it still worries me that the combat looks very WoW-esque. The characters do not appear to be fighting someone but instead in this bizarre world of their own just fucking swinging and casting with no reaction to what the other is doing. The best thing about TES for me was the combat flowing so well, if swung at someone they could raise their shield while you were swinging and it might glance off or stagger them depending on how hard you hit them, or maybe they just dodged to the side. Some MMOs are finally coming out with decent combat (TERA, RaiderZ, Vindictus, etc) but it looks like this one is going to be boring like WoW
The problem is that the TES games and TESOnline are two completely different games. People that played the games for the gameplay aren't going to dig it because it's the same "swing at the air in front of the other guy until he dies" horseshit People that played the games for the Lore and story aren't going to dig it because they're fucking with the Lore to make this game work. It's like they're expecting everyone to latch on solely because of the trademark. Which I'm sure some people will, it just doesn't spell long-term success for a subscription-based game.
Rumor has it, the game style will NOT be click and point. Rather than more like the previous games with hack n slashy goodness.
"Goodness" is not the word I'd use to describe the combat of any TES game.
Eh. I'll hold off on my opinions until I see actual gameplay instead of pan shots of environments and people running around.
They better not fuck up my Dunmer.
Don't worry. [sp] The argonians already did that [/sp]
Don't worry. [sp] The argonians already did that [/sp]
Pfft, they had to wait for a volcano to fuck them up for them. They just swept up the mess and took credit for it. Generations of them being enslaved by the Dunmer just goes to show they were to weak to deal with them outright,
It's not gonna work like that. AFAIK, regular attacks will be just like in the singleplayer games.
The combat looks exactly like that of a generic MMO's. They also said that they wouldn't ruin the lore either, but they made the Elder Scroll a flag in CTF, so...
Wheres the innovation? [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] Oh yes, there it is. He mentioned instead of a big "!" the NPC's glow instead. [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] The combat is also very fluid and very Elder Scrollsy.
I still think a fallout MMO would be a lot better
