Hey, another excuse to watch this video again.
They're also making a second one.
So how does this work? Did they simply upscale the video to 4K? I guess the originally recorded this in 1080p so i don't see how the quality could suddenly be 4K without re-recording it in 4K definition or am i missing something?
They probably had it in a higher resolution and downscaled it to 1080p.

It's a time lapse, so everything was originally just still images taken on a DSLR (18 megapixels on their 7D), 1080p is only 2 megapixels, 4k is 8
That video looks so much more impressive now on a 1440p monitor. I can't imagine how nice it would look on a 4k display.
