Thank you, I'm just covering stuff to warm up to making originals one day. I know it's every kids dream to be in a band but I'm trying my best to aim towards it.

Yeah, I've had my taste of being in shitty bands, it really discouraged me from guitar for awhile. I figure if I'm serious about this I might as well improve my skills. I mean, the song I played was pretty easy, but I want to get into more technical stuff over the next few months.

Here's "Sequoia Throne". It's one of their harder songs, mosly because of the tapping throughout.

Interesting fact about PTH, they said once that they wrote much of their music when they weren't even good enough to play it so had to bascially learn to play their own stuff. Now that's a band who strive to be better.

Yeah man, I've been listening to Protest The Hero for years. I'd LOVE to cover some of their songs down the road. I was trying to learn Palms Read for ages, I should try it again. The little instrumental part at the end of that song is so ace. Dunno if you play guitar, but I'd consider tapping to be an easier skill. What scares me is how they sweep all the time, that's something that I'm going to have to work on.

And I realize I don't hold my pick the normal way haha. It works for me, at least I don't use 3 fingers anymore :P

What, the song or my guitar? I'd understand if you don't like the music, but I thought my tone was fine. I used the same tone in two other videos and got tons of compliments. I can try to improve it but there wasn't much else I could really do, I unno.

The tapping PTH does is way above anything else I've listened to. Especially in Sequoia's Throne. Bloodmeat comes to mind too, though it's not too hard to play.
