Why am I getting the feeling the father of Arno is Shay from Rogue?
The main character loses his seemingly normal father who turns out to be an ex-assassin so he then becomes an assassin himself to seek revenge but it then becomes more than just mere revenge. How original.
Bravo Bioware!
They don't sound very french
I wonder if they'll skip the entire Animus thing.

They nailed the Italian in AC2, but they kinda fucked up in this one.
Cheesy one liners by cheesy characters that reveal a cheesy plot.

Lol no, the story involves Arno trying to bring together the Assassins and Templars to unify but it all goes wrong.

There will be a present day storyline continuation.
looks really rehashed
no thanks
they should look at ac2 again and think over why that game is actually good

Not many people liked it, but ditching it entirely would basically be a gigantic middle finger to the cliffhangers and plot points it all made.

Said plot points and backstory was generally terribly executed after AC2 anyway, so nah
The best thing that ever came out of it was Adam Sandler dying.
Napoleon better play a big part in the story or it's automatically shit

It's the classic "My ancestors just happened to be on speaking terms with literally everyone influential from their time period and country"
I don't see any assassins in here
i dunno it looks okay
i really enjoyed ac2 but none of the games since then have interested me. this is the first one set in a time period and following characters that seems interesting since then. maybe it's a 'rehash' or whatever but i dont really care - it's been like 3 years since i've played an ac game so i fancy having a go of this one
hopefully you can play it in french though like you could play ac2 in italian

Considering how fucking annoying the French accent could get in Liberation I'm glad they dropped it.

I love how it's literally the plot of AC2 and AC3 done all over again.
Can we just cut the stupid pointed hood crap now? I mean his entire outfit looks fine but then boom pointed hood.
I'll just watch a LP like I did the last 3
"You're the only one who can save the Brotherhood?"
Is this game going to lead in to an explanation for why the Assassins make up an absolutely tiny force in the modern day when in the 1600s they had control of entire cities around the Mediterranean?
The French Revolution is an interesting setting but I wish they could do more places. Like Ancient Egypt or China, the Russian Revolution, or 19th Century India or something. I'm pretty sure Assassins's Creed fans who happen to be history nerds would get a kick out of that.
Pretty lame and rehashed. Literally the call of duty of open world games now.
How come that since AC3, every main character gets thrown in jail

There's going to be a DLC for Unity that's set in China.

It's funny because that season pass shows a lot of things wrong with the current industry, but hey, China dlc.
Too bad the china game is some 2.5D platformer.

So instead of getting a full game set in the Orient like so many fans have been asking for since after AC2, we get it just as DLC and a shitty side scroller? Disappointingly frustrating is putting it politely.
Here's a good summary of how Unity's plot will go, "Guy finds out about assassins. Guy becomes assassin. Assassin guy earns trust of other assassins by immediately taking the lead on every single mission ever. Assassin guy trusts bad guy, alienating friends. Bad guy betrays assassin guy. Assassin guy loses all his stuff for a short time. Assassin guy gets it back by proving he is sincere to friends. Assassin guy gets in to a convoluted platforming sequence to kill bad guy during which any one of a billion things or one of thousands of half-intelligent things from the bad guy's minions would stop him instantly. Assassin guy stabs bad guy. Bad guy makes witty remark to assassin guy that can basically be summed up as 'Hah, who's the real villain here?' Assassin guy completely ignores this, feels satisfied with his actions. Assassin guy uncovers magical macguffin, proceeds to hide it away to prevent misuse instead of just throwing it in the sea."
Do people actually pay attention to the plot anymore? I couldn't care less about the plot in any of them since Revelations. Revelations plot was bad, AC3 plot was bad, Black Flag plot was bad except for the general fact it was pirates. And Black Flag was really only so enjoyable because of the sailing and piracy elements. Half the assassin missions were "Stick close to this guy without being seen by dodging through bushes for half an hour."
Ubisoft is turning into infinity ward
2.5 Assassins creed games in one year , sorry to speak the truth but the last assassins creed that was good was 2
That looks sooo last gen. Washed out, ugly.
Still baffles me that you need all this professional training to become an assassin while every common guard out there can do the same shit you do, chasing you over buildings and performing expert jumping maneuvers.

Who says the side scroller will be shitty? It has potential, and if it's well received then the chances are Ubisoft will monetise that shit and make a proper AC game in China.

Unity actually changes the running and parkour completely from the past games; looks like it'll be really fun to play. I don't know. I might just get shadow of mordor over this game.

Or a shogun era assassins creed set in japan. That would be the shit
Out of curiosity, is the assassin in the china DLC game the same one out of embers? That would be pretty cool.
