I get so god damn sad whenever i see footage or hear of old historical stuff be damaged. I wonder if one time in the future museums will 3d print old destroyed artifacts so people can actually see how they looked once.

Well we've been using better methods such as hand-sculpting and plaster-casting for well over a century to recreate lost things in museums. Don't see why we'd ever want to use 3D printing, it seems sorta shitty for the job.
