I make an active note of the bystander effect in my mind for shit like this. Since becoming an adult and going outside more often I've witnessed quite a few people in trouble.

This has happened to me so many times, but now I've always been able to do something because I remind myself of this effect.

call me a cynical old fuck but the newer generations are getting a lot more violent and pushy with their attitude, I see this type of crap almost weekly and it bugs the shit out of me, you break them up and 10m later they're after whoever they were again
Good on him for doing something. See how quickly the three teens backed off once someone some what more formidable showed up? All it took is one person to stick up the other teen and they stopped. Out of the half a dozen people the truck driver who wasn't even there for a minute before noticing immediately got out.
Good on him and he showed that other teen who was being assault he wasn't alone.
I know the bystandard effect blah blah blah. It took just one person to stop it, imagine if that whole group of people stopped and helped.
Why do they look so confused when he makes them back off? It looks like they were bullying that guy and were not used to intervention or something.
