Welp, the little respectability i had for this show just went down the toilet.
And Microsoft.
Wow, I can't even comprehend what I just watched, I thought I was watching a tv show, then I thought I was watching a comedy because it almost seemed satire then I realized I watched an advert where Microsoft doesn't advertise their product in any way, but just puts down Google. That being said, who wants all their personal information to be used so they can make even more money off you.
are they even allowed to do this? first the anti-google merchandise, now this?

it's not a 'real' laptop unless it runs linux, everyone knows that
This marketing campaign seems sketchy as fuck in the legal department. It'd be like is apple just made an ad that just said "SAMSUNG? MORE LIKE SAMSUCKSASS" and made a bunch of shit talking mugs and stuff that have samsung logos on it.

Something you put on top of your lap
God this is cringe-worthy.
i refuse to watch this
Rapidly losing respect for Microsoft. Here's some more shit they pulled:
http://www.keepyouremailprivate.com/HowTheyDoIt
What they don't realize is that this:

is actually more helpful than spewing viagra adverts. And they act as if the robots that go through your GMail have feelings or emotions - they benefit both the end user and the advertiser, and Microsoft just skews it to make it sound like a bad thing. Oh then there's the whole http://www.bingiton.com/ which 9/10 times Google wins

it's as if Microsoft want to sound dumb

As annoying as those ads were, they were good and they were a good campaign I think. It didn't make PC seem like the enemy, just that it was boring and didn't make them seem like they were fighting. It was relatively inviting for both characters.

They never mentioned MS products by name in those commercials though iirc.

This does actually frustrate me quite a lot with Google Docs. I bought a Nexus 7 with the intention that I'd be able to do some writing when I am away from my computer or on vacation where there is no internet or something.
It turns out you can't commit changes to your documents unless you are online. You can't even write anything and store it clientside, as docs wants to commit every word to the cloud the moment its written.
I don't know man, i thought it was pretty funny.

Same, reminds me of the classic nintendo vs sega ads
I honestly thought this was one of those cringe-inducing Microsoft ads that tries too hard. This is from a television show?
chromebooks suck but this ad sucks harder
I personally think ads would be a lot more enjoyable to watch if adverting was about bashing as much as glorifying.

This one was pretty dumb though.
what an asshole, laughing in the lady's face.
"its not a real laptop" *turns blue from laughter*
At first I understood why they laughed at her for trying to get a value of a ticket to hollywood but when he pointed towards the Google chrome logo I stopped right there.

you know it's an ad right
[editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
she's an actress
are you seriously talking shit about rick and the pawn shop for this? i get that they have a hugely successful tv show but these guys literally sat down with microsoft and said, "wait, more money? for this??? fuck it, sign me up"
It's not a real laptop, it doesn't have...
BATTLETOADS

While this is shameless stabbing by someone who's either horribly misinformed or paid off by apple/microsoft, it isn't really a laptop.
You'd tend to classify something like a chromebook as a Netbook (hence the Chromebook name)
They never mentioned MS products by name in those commercials though iirc.
Windows is the only other major, commercial operating system. I doubt many Mac users know what L/unix is."PC" is rather unfortunately synonymous with windows (which is dumb because macs are PCs too... any computer that is yours is a PC...)
attack ads are shameful and disgusting and done by shameless companies with no respect for other businesses
microsoft has done it to google, apple has done it to microsoft, people do it all the time and it's terrible and it makes me angry to consider that it's completely legal
