I know it's not new or great I guess but I thought i'd remind you all of this amazing theme and how much of my childhood it meant and how much me and my dad played the game
Fuck yeah, I loved this game and its music. I played it occasionally with my dad as well.
WWII is crazy to think about. The WWII MOH themes really do a good job encapsulating how epic that time period was.
The live version of the Frontline theme is great too.
The way this track builds up to the main theme of the game is amazing:
Getting a Jurassic Park/Indiana Jones vibe from it.
ah that one map stalingrad, was so fun and omaha, runnning through the bunkers
Getting a Jurassic Park/Indiana Jones vibe from it.
The game was produced by Steven Spielberg and I think he was involved in the writing process or something too so it makes sense.
Just how close it reminded me of
Michael Giacchino is really a great composer, his works in the franchise is fantastic.
My favorite (and also my favorite MOH)
it is ridiculous how well these hold up
it is ridiculous how well these hold up
How so?, composed by good composers, michael giachinnio did Lost and star trek and a lot of other things, doesn't surprise me to be fair
The live version of the Frontline theme is great too.
why did you rate this dumb op? it's weird how someone was just sharing in your nostalgia and you attacked them lol arnhem knights was super good too
My favorite (and also my favorite MOH)
Mine aswell. The thing I'm disappointed in the Rising Sun album Is that there's so many parts cut out, and a couple of soundtracks were left out like the one in The Bridge over the River Kwai level

So It would be possible the soundtrack was rushed also...
Hey what a coincidence, I'm replaying Allied Assault right now. The whole soundtrack is great really. These will always be my favorite MOH tunes though because nostalgia:
I grew up playing each and every Medal of honor game to hell and back. By far and away my favorite series till CoD 1 came out and replaced it. Here's an old one for PS1 junkies. Though IIRC it did come back in the Monte Cassino mission with the brits in AA:Breakthrough. You know what saddens me more than where the series went with warfighter. It's that fact that at one point i had every single game in the series at the time (up to European Assault) all proudly on show sitting on my shelf and for some reason which i don't know why now, i sold the whole lot. 15 year old me just saw the quick trade in value i guess rather than the thousands of hours of memories. I fucking hate myself for doing that.
I too loved the MoH series as a young man. It's part of the inspiration for the game I'm working on now. I wish I could only find the modelers to help me make it.
My Dad, Grandpa, and I all played MOHAA together back in the day in the same clan. It was probably one of the first games that really got me into gaming.
arnhem knights was super good too
hell yeah frontline motherfuckers
This was probably my first game back when I was like 4 or 5.

since arnhem knights was already posted, Operation Market Garden is the 2nd best song on Frontline
Allied Assault was the very first online game I played.
It was a simpler time. I have such fond memories of Medal of Honor. Allied Assault in particular because it was my first "realistic" shooter with real guns and real equipment. It's funny calling it that in hindsight considering how games play these days, but back then it was really novel to me to have to actually reload a gun. So real. Medal of Honor has fantastic music through and through. I only played from Allied Assault and onwards because I didn't have a PS1 or PS2, but I have the soundtracks for all the WWII Medal of Honor games. Even the ones I never played. Medal of Honor's music deserves to go in some hall of fame for video game music. I haven't seen this one posted yet. This is one of my favorites because it weaves in a bunch of themes from the series. I'm such a sucker for when composers do that. It's such a great finale. The Omaha mission was the best mission in gaming up to that point. It was fucking difficult, even on easy difficulty.
I don't say this often, but this game deserves to be remastered.
I don't say this often, but this game deserves to be remastered.
It was. PS3 Version of the Medal of Honor 2010 collector's edition had it downloadable.
This and GTA San Andreas is all my friends would want to play. Coming from a Nintendo friendly house to these war and violent games was pretty shocking and fucking awesome! :v:
