This game is looking really fucking hype. If JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle can get localized, this totally can too.
Looks pretty good. I wonder what the main story line will be, because it seems it'll follow Eren but we already know what happens. Maybe it'll be a different story, who knows.
Looks like you can attach your grapple hooks to thin air, all of my interest is lost.
The Unity one tramples this into the dirt, that game is amazing!

Someone tell me when they release this in America. Then ima get a 3DS. Then again it could be horribly shallow, which would be a great dealbreaker.
Looks meh
Someone tell me when they release this in America.
I doubt there will be an official release, not for a long time at least. They'll probably dub the anime and release it on adult swim or something before they even begin to translate and redub this game.
Looks like you can attach your grapple hooks to thin air, all of my interest is lost.
Considering the control options of the 3ds, I don't think it would be feasible otherwise. aka the unity game reigns supreme.

The Unity game is a much better simulator, yeah, but like Samoht said this looks a lot more suited to a handheld system. The Unity game is on PC which affords it a lot more precision. Plus it's not going for simulation like the Unity game is. It's going for a replication of the heart-pounding action of the show, which is why we see some slow-mo to enhance reflexes and keep the action going and crazy effects all over the place. What they really need to do is put effort toward having a set of varied missions rather than "kill x amount of titans" with the only difference between missions being the variable number. I do remain skeptical, though, because the bottom line is that it's a licensed anime game that seems to have been produced somewhat quickly. It sure looks pretty and the gameplay looks promising, but I reserve final judgment for the final product.

i think my hype has gone, but hopefully it's not as bad as the trailer makes it out to be
Forgive me for not knowing the terms for this stuff, but does localized mean it getting an official translation/dub along with being sold in stores overseas, or does it just mean that it's not area restricted and someone with a non-jap console can play it?
Localized means translated. You'll notice that a lot of Visual Novels are almost never localized because there is no market in the US outside of a very niche group. Hence why there are so many fan localizations. This game will probably be localized officially because of how damn popular it is pretty much globally.

This can range from just translating the UI and in-game subtitles to recording new voice lines in the new language. The latter option you mentioned is called "region locking." If a game is region locked, the game can only be played in authorized region models. If a game isn't region locked, you can play any game on any console regardless of console region and game region. The 3DS is region-locked worldwide, so an American 3DS couldn't play a Japanese copy of Attack on Titan if you imported it. You'd also have to get a Japanese 3DS. Nintendo's public reasoning for this practice is to ensure that game ratings are upheld, but the actual reason is so they can fix the prices of Japanese and European games at a significant markup and prevent the players from importing them from regions where they're cheaper.
looks bad tbh
Was the game in the trailer fucking lagging when it panned past the colossal titan, lol
Looks like it has almost the same game play as God Eater.
They should have made it for the Wii U. Motion controlled movement, better graphics, etc.
They should have made it for the Wii U. I'm still legit buttmad about the only existing Gurren Lagann game being on the original DS with a chibi art style.
Obligatory post, http://fenglee.com/game/aog/
Fan of the show, honestly dissapointed with the actual game.
Why didn't they just release it on PC? Or at least the Wii U!
Why didn't they just release it on PC? Or at least the Wii U!
Because Japs love their handhelds
Why didn't they just release it on PC? Or at least the Wii U!
For reference, the 3DS has outsold the Wii's lifetime sales in Japan.

I think it looks pretty okay. I'll probably buy it.
