i see z-fighting problems... and more problems arma 2 has...
I don't think it's that cool.. i can see the appeal in terms of realism or something but it's kinda trying too hard.
Too many games to buy. I hope they add smoother animations.

The environment looks beautiful, I can't wait to blow it up!

I cant even run Arma 2 at a decent frame rate.. :(
Honestly I hope they changed more than what was just in the Video, I mean I loved the Arma series. But the animations aren't...smooth. Everything seems too stiff, I'm glad they added the rag-dolls, but I wish to see some nicer animations.

well animation for arma has always been a weak point... the reload animation for every pistol is the fucking same there's no bolt cycle animation in the lee-enfield in ArmA2:OA when the bolt cycles on the L96 your hand isn't on it.
Did you miss the part where they said they're using the old ones as placeholders for now?
Thank you, I must of In the past arma games I couldn't get immersed into it because of the weird feeling the animations had. It looks awesome but they still have to work on animations and i hope that the houses interiors will have some furnitures and more detailed...

The running animation is better than most games out there, in my opinion. It actually looks like they have weight instead of just running across a flat plane like in Call of Duty or Battlefield.

Seeing as the games coming out in about a year, I'm sure they'll improve the animations. I'm looking forward to this.
I dig the hitman style disguise system.
I have yet to find a computer that can play arma 2 without massive lag, even on low setting.
I dig the hitman style disguise system.
Steal women's clothing. Nobody will suspect a thing.
I really hope they improve the default controls some, the previous game has a lot of really retarded default controls. Iron sights are set to numpad 0, and zoom in is set to mouse2. A lot of commands were set to the same thing; targeting units as a tank commander throws your camera into third person seemingly at random. Glad they're going more towards full war and battles, rather than fighting unconventional forces that were in ARMA2 and Operation Arrowhead. I also like the Crysis-style weapon customization, but I hope they can add a proper GUI for it rather than the cumbersome mousewheel menu that everything uses.
They definitely need to smooth out their animations, but overall this game looks much nicer than arma 2. Also, that world looks sick.
I hope it's more optimized than the past games, grass always killed my FPS.
I haven't personally played any of the past Arma's but from what I can see, the game has a pretty good base but there is alot that they could improve on.
Hopefully they'll optimize the fucking netcode so it works properly on wi-fi so I don't have to bring my entire computer down two flights of stairs into the basement whenever I want to play ARMA

Don't have a problem with that, but took me a while to figure out. I only use tab to target vehicles, it's not my duty to tell them how to shoot infantry. Too bad AI is blind :v:
The controls in Arma2 were terrible, hope this will be better. And why is it overheating? It doesn't even look good on their shitty engine.
The only reason that looked good for buying Arma 2 was that zombie mod.
