all new ass capture mode will automatically document all butts in the room
Still not as cool as H.E.L.P.eR. or the Personality Cores, though.
Something about that voice is really unnerving. It's like boyband member meets Portal 1 GLaDOS.
calling it now (if this thing actually comes out): furby v2
new toy all the kids want but then end up locking a closet because it won't shut the fuck up
Open the pod bay doors, JIBO.
This looks like a miss but deep down I want it to succeed because I don't want to be 70 by the time personal household AIs come around
Also they really have to stop trying to make it seem cute and polite because its HAL vibes are terrifying
Some good things come from shit things, I hope they push these type of things out there so there becomes a big market for it, allowing competition between companies to make these way better.
Seems like one of these things that get hyped up through mainstream news sites and social media, but in reality either never comes out or is massively niche because it turns out to be a huge disappointment.
Looks really cool, but the fact it can't move would be annoying. Imagine having to lug that thing around the house.
call me when the girlfriend androids from that episode of futurama are a thing.
I expect that shit to turn on me and stab me in the back.
I like how they never show that you have to move it around so much or maybe the family has like 20 of them. I do really love how it moves though.

Pfft, I'd rather save up for one of these.

I'm sorry, Malos. I'm afraid I can't do that.
oh god just realized my avatar is perfect for this thread

It'd be really cool if they made a household AI with one centralized unit, and 3+ small Bluetooth speaker/mic units that can plug into power sockets
I don't trust it. It's gonna turn on me while i'm sleeping.
Something like HAL.
I'm very very very skeptical about Jibo being like this when released.
>Jibo call the police I'm being robbed.
- Call starts
| 911 Emergency. What's your Emergency?
<This is jibo I'm calling to report that there is a house robbery at
<123 Main Street.
<There are 4 family members in the house and 1 robber.
Some of the sounds Jibo makes reminds me of Portal Turrets.
call me when the girlfriend androids from that episode of futurama are a thing.
girlfriendroids
Imagine hacking one of these and manipulating a family's light switches so that they constantly flash off and on
these Jibots will kill us all, I'm telling you

Precursor to 1984's Telescreen.
Still waiting for robots that can do stuff while I sit on my ass all day.
That looks like bad CGI, complete with the fake camera wobble/shake so it looks real. It's a nice concept, though. You can already do all of that stuff with your phone/computer, it'd be great to put it all in a friendly interface.

I've always been partial to this massive thing

I don't like it. It's creepy.
Precursor to 1984's Telescreen.
How? The Telescreen is practically just a TV which you can't switch off with a camera and microphone inside. Games consoles are closer to that than this is.
I'm hopefully, but I expect it will be like Siri: great when it does work, but fairly temperamental, especially when there's a lot of background noise or you give a 'weird' context-based answer or question.
