This was incredible!
The cinematography is beautiful and to me you hit that "old feel" spot real good.
It felt really brutal and all of the actors were really good, only once did I think that the violence didn't feel real. Usually I don't like things that are cut that fast but it felt like you did it more as a choice of style rather than to hide something and I can totally see how it wouldn't fit to have long shots in a movie like this.
I never played hotline miami so I can't really tell how this stands towards that, but I liked it nonetheless.

thanks man, iam really, really glad you liked it. You may not know it, but these comments really mean a lot to me. I filmed this back in 2014 and just now i was able to finish it. There were a lot of problems during production and uni hit hard, and some other problems too, these past weeks i hit hard on the editing and im glad it made you feel what i wanted to achieve. Thanks, for real.
I like it but i think you went overboard with all the effects
This was pretty sick my dude!
Was that the Protomen version of Silent Running? :v:
I really really enjoyed it, but i'm here to help with like 3 negative criticisms.
At :49 I feel like that scream was unnecessary, and didn't really add anything. It was jarring and it didn't seem very real. (I can see your idea behind it though)
At 7:56 that cut out of the music seemed too jarring. I don't know what could have been in place of this, but I didn't really like it. Like towards the end of the cutout it fades way too quickly to nothing, so it just feels empty.
The whole fight scene at 9:26 was really well done, although the sound was overpowering the music and sometimes in other places as well. You picked a fucking awesome song for it but it was kind of overshadowed by the extremely loud sound effects.
Everything else:
Fucking incredible, it was extremely well done, the cinematography was amazing, the acting was amazing, the story was awesome, that fucking driving portion to Lazerhawk was absolutely awesome you fucking nailed that, and the overall aesthetic, the visual effects, color grading, editing, literally everything was cool as fuck. The credits were even fucking awesome, and it was just overall a good time.
I'm a huge fan of HLM and Drive and you just nailed both of the feels. Just wow.
I applaud you on this, it was really good man.

Yeah, it was my main concern. It was a stylistic choice that also fixed a lot of problems in the editing and in the liberty with the material. Some quality was inconsistent so i went full on with it in the entire video.

Yes, big fan of Protomen haha. It actually is the last piece of that album. The Cover up has a small track that has briefly the song for a moment. its a guy talking over the radio about some murders on the, i think, Terminator 1 lore.

I thought the radio bit sounded familiar but my brain attributed it to Highlander :v: I haven't listened through Cover Up in a while. Great vid anyway.
