Thought this would be interesting.
I don't really understand, I mean isn't it fairly obvious that something that is entirely based on magic and mythology has occult themes?
Also, I don't get what he means by getting certain things right, like mermaids/sirens? I thought they generally were meant to be beautiful creatures that lure people in, but also have tons of different depictions over many cultures and times so there isn't really a *correct* way to get them right.
Most of the stuff can be linked back to being inspired by Greek or other mythology (Cerberus, philosopher's stone, sirens, hippogryph, dragons) etc etc etc

I posted it cause I thought it was an interesting perspective on a certain subject. I'm just posting random stuff.
If you really want an answer to that question, why not contact him and ask him directly?
