I highly recommend watching in 1080p
i went away to get a drink and came back about the 10:40 mark
seeing all the smoke, i genuinely thought something had gone horribly wrong with the fireworks
it was fantastic though

The 2000 fireworks display in London was about 30 minutes, should be up on Youtube as well.
Or so I've heard, back then I fell asleep before midnight :v:
I've seen them partially from my balcony. I also see top of The Shard from here as well so it was very cool to watch it going on TV and look outside and see some bits of it.
The only year I missed seeing these on TV was last year, back in the saddle baybeee
what a coincidence, when the video started to play Blurred lines, i heard it on the radio at the same time
how ironic, when the video started to play Blurred lines, i heard it on the radio at the same time
thats not how irony works

Jesus your rent must be pretty high.
Man so glad they played pink floyd. Best bit of the olympic opening was when they played Eclipse synced with the fireworks. Mindblowing.
I missed this last night because I was passed out in my mate's conservatory between 11 and 1, which is a shame because I love the countdown; it's the best part.
I was lucky enough to be in London last night to see this, pretty spectacular.

sorry, i meant coincidence
More like more money than I will make in my lifetime. Worth it, though
the music wasn't as good as the last couple of years imo

Well it's around 450 pounds per month because I live with a parent and another couple.
Does anyone who makes more money than the cost of all those fireworks want to say better ways they spend it? ANYONE?!??! :v:
I got a few (197) photos of them from the roof I wasn't meant to be on.

Very pretty.
I was standing directly over the river from the eye, we went there 5 hours early and it was already totally packed from that point all the way to Big Ben.
Fireworks were amazing though, in the finale you could feel you were being hit by vibrations of all of the explosions tens of times a second. They had music on for 4 or so hours and were handing out free packs to everyone with sweets + bracelets that I assume were phone network controlled and could be told to light up/flash along to songs. They also sprayed out the mist which tasted/smelled like different fruits, and loads of foam in little bits which looked just like snow.
Afterwards not so fun, took just over 2 hours to get from where we were to the nearest tube station due to every street being full of people jam packed like sardines. There was loads of drama too...People being idiots and trying to shove their way around the crowds then getting aggressive when someone complained, drunk people puking everywhere, I saw a guy/girl having an argument then she slapped him and then he punched her right in the mouth and she ran away crying.
Started moving away at 12:20am, all we had to do was get to a tube station and go about 6 stops to Archway but due to the nearest two being closed we ended up getting home at about 3am.
Yay! Another year without mutually assured destruction.
