Who fucking give a shit?

yeah it's not like he's a candidate for president, who gives a shit if he's bold faced-ly lying
again
There also happens to be another canidate named Hillary Clinton, a pathological liar. The pot calling the kettle black.
Being that both canidates are shitty as can be, why not focus on their policies so that we ensure we pick the right person.
sure!
clinton wins.
You could just flip a coin at this point.

Trump doesn't have any policies, so Clinton wins.

Trumps policies are just zingers and flashy statements
Clinton has a legitimate policy platform put in place

So Stephen Colbert is Hillary Clinton?
I never denied the fact that his policies are empty - that's what criticism should be directed towards.
It's redundant to call him a liar as if Hillary is if is not.

Since when does calling one person a liar mean you don't think the other is?

Hillary lies. She lies to make herself look better, she "misremembers" things that are dumb to lie about (like getting shot at when she got off a plane in an 'active war zone') because they're easy to fact check and when she fucks up she tries to cover it up.
That's bad.
Donald trump almost never tells the truth and lies about everything hillary lies about and more. He lies about things that don't need to be lied about, makes sweeping statements about entire groups of people for no reason that aren't backed up by fact, and brags about things he's never done. He then has the gall to accuse other people of being liars.
Don't pretend this shit is equivalent.
Policies are empty, hollow promises being made before the election and are basically there to cater to a specific voterbase - there is literally almost no guarantee that any of the promises will ever be kept. And judging by history, they rarely are - if at all.
Presidents should actually only be chosen based on their personality and history - at least this way, we can predict their behavior after they have been elected. Policies come and go, personalities rarely change and the nature of a person can speak volumes than any policy draft or "future plan" can.
Okay.
On personality, Clinton still wins.

'cept only one of them is regularly praised as being "honest" and "telling it like it is"

Everything you accused Trump of, Hillary has done.
The "Hillary is as Bad as Trump" bandwagon is real.
America will never live it down if it ever elects Trump as president. In the EU we have our own issues with populists coming into power, but none of those clowns are commander-in-chief of the biggest armed force in the world. And even they seem sane compared to how the usual US election media circus amplifies Trump's downright bizarre persona.

Gonna quote something I just read in The New Yorker in the past hour:
http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/09/26/president-trumps-first-term
But campaigns offer a surprisingly accurate preview of Presidencies. In 1984, the political scientist Michael Krukones tabulated the campaign pledges of all the Presidents from Woodrow Wilson to Jimmy Carter and found that they achieved seventy-three per cent of what they promised. Most recently, PolitiFact, a nonpartisan fact-checking site, has assessed more than five hundred promises made by Barack Obama during his campaigns and found that, to the irritation of his opponents, he has accomplished at least a compromised version of seventy per cent of them.
If anything people should be looking at the DNC platform and stop complaining about how icky they think Hillary is.
