They took some very interesting choices. I'm sure Facepunch knows quite a lot of the already, but it's worth seeing nonetheless.

Why in gods name is Metro in there?
Why in gods name is Metro in there?
Because it's a game people might not have tried?
Metro should be on the list of games you did play, or couldn't afford at the time. Not might not have tried.
Totally buying outland. It looks awesome!
I liked the arbitrary Metro 2033 mention.

Is it ever mentioned why he uses this pretentious voice filter to make a point?
Trenched, Monday Night Combat and Metro 2033, Catherine and Bastion aren't obscure. And beause Monster Hunter is popular in Japan, doesn't mean it's not known here. Also, The Stanley Parable is a mod, and the reason most people might not have heard of it is because those people don't know anything about moda and wouldn't know how to even get into it.
Stanley here I come!
The dungeon masters game in the first episode looked nice. I love hack-and-slash games where you can take down hordes of enemies as a time (like Diablo and Torchlight).

Well it isn't called "Games nobody ever heard of because they're so off mainstream". It's their list of games that have some redeeming factor that makes them stand out of other games.
And you're on a gaming forum, of course you'd have heard of some of them before.
I'm really glad The Stanley Parable was mentioned. It's simply amazing and more people should try it.
The Stanley Parable hmm... Well I do own Half Life 2.
I didn't think HL2 mods were even being made anymore, not seriously anyway.
I remember seeing the first few promotions for Metro 2033 in Gameinformer, and turned to my friend an asked if he heard about it, and he said all the pics were in game rendering. From that point on, I wanted that game.
So sad that it undershot. I loved that game, but it looked far better before it came out. Needed a more open world environment, and a side story thing, to do after the main story.
glad to see stanley parable in there. Although it wasn't the most polished looking mod it was still an amazing mod.
What happened to part 1? did the Escapist axe all of the content they did for them?
Valkyria Chronicles looks pretty good. Unfortunately, I lack a PS3. :I
whats with the voice filter? It's annoying.
the narrorator reminded me of todd howard
I'm happy that they found another website to host their videos. I really like the art style and they always point something out that I've never noticed.

Yeah, doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
