As far back as February Brendon Small was saying the series would likely have to end in a different way than a final season, but he did promise to end it properly.

I'm going to Dragon con next week, and the VA who plays Fry Lock is going to be there. I'm sure he is going to be asked about the continuation of the show. I will try to go to his panel, and report the info to FP if I'm allowed to.
