i like vista [editline]wat[/editline] stockholm syndrome
i like vista
Spotted the MS employee
Vista wasn't bad after the last Service pack. Still switched to 7 right away.
Vista wasn't bad after the last Service pack. Still switched to 7 right away.
To be honest, Vista with all updates installed is as comfortable and stable to use as 7

Old gold, imagine if they did a modern version of this with the original response to Win 8 or Xbox One.
That is pure gold... reminds me of Maddox a LOT.
"cough"
Sounds like the guys that did the Big Bill Hell's dealership video. Fuck you Baltimore.

Moving from Vista to 8 was like going from hell to heaven
Moving from XP to 7 was like dodging a bullet.
still maintain that anyone who says vista is shit 1) never used the OS or 2) never used it past SP1
To be honest, Vista with all updates installed is as comfortable and stable to use as 7
The only real issues are exclusive post Windows 7 components that aren't backwards compatible. It's taken many years but they're starting to pop up in more mainstream applications nowadays. If it weren't for those I'd say Vista users wouldn't even need to upgrade (to 7). All the complaints in the video were things I circumvented or completely shut down my first day with the OS. Simple Google searches solve the non-crash issues and the crash factor itself has been nonsense for well over half a decade now.
still maintain that anyone who says vista is shit 1) never used the OS or 2) never used it past SP1
Vista SP2 is literally Windows 7 minus a couple features. On another note, Windows 7 mainstream support ends in January.
windows 98 was worse than vista but due to lack of market research and general feedback the size of it's failure was largely underestimated. [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] I went from Vista pre SP1 to 8, actually was a profound member in the blossoming of the IT subforum. The problem to this day still reminds the fact vendors sold barely qualified XP machines as "vista ready".

People like pointing to the OS even when its their hardware that's at fault.
my main rig has 32 bit vista home edition
They really don't make videos like that anymore. Also windows 7 is like 6 years old now how did that happen
I'm apparently the only guy in the universe who's time under Vista was the most stable of all windows' periods, up until Windows 7.
I like vista, deal with it.
still maintain that anyone who says vista is shit 1) never used the OS or 2) never used it past SP1
Why would anyone use it past SP1 when it basically becomes Windows 7 for all intents and purposes??
I'm apparently the only guy in the universe who's time under Vista was the most stable of all windows' periods, up until Windows 7.
I actually liked Vista and defended it until I upgraded to W8 and I noticed that my PC stopped crashing. Then I upgraded to 8.1 and started crashing a lot and had to reset my OS drive twice because old nForce controllers and 8.1 do not get along
Vista SP2 is literally Windows 7 minus a couple features. On another note, Windows 7 mainstream support ends in January.
What the fuck Microsoft? Didn't XP support end only a few years ago?
I'm apparently the only guy in the universe who's time under Vista was the most stable of all windows' periods, up until Windows 7.
Almost got boo'ed out of Novatech, a computer shop for saying something like this.
What the fuck Microsoft? Didn't XP support end only a few years ago?
It ended in April 2014, Windows 7 will still be supported until 2020 I believe. XP was on extended support for quite some time before they switched updates off this year. Not to worry though, I'm using Windows 10 right now coming from Windows 7 and I really do feel confident to say that it will probably serve as a great successor to it.
my xp and w7 systems crashed way harder and way more frequently than my vista system lol [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] my w7 system for some reason would shit itself any time it had to do updates, there were times that it would cripple my hard drive speeds to the point where i couldn't move any files anywhere. dunno what the fuck the issue is because the drives work fine elsewhere and have zero bad sectors!
It's so true. :(
