seems like a pretty neat idea, a cute little puzzle game in VR with a nice aesthetic and uses VR interestingly (i like it when you have to actively move yourself in the VR space, that's cool.) too bad people are going to/already are shitting alllll over it because of phil fish even though he's just one piece of this 4-man puzzle

i ain't no phil fish defender, trust me, but I enjoy FEZ as a good game for having, again a nice aesthetic, cool ideas behind it, and a great soundtrack. i just have to ignore the abhorently terrible person behind the game. I'll do the same with this because honestly I'm a sucker for anything VR at this point.

it doesn't "need" VR, because it's a remake of a game they made already. it's just a game they initially made with the intent of VR but without the tech, and now that they have it they integrated it in.

not saying that's a good thing, i'd much prefer a real experience where VR is integrated into the gameplay, but it works in the way they're using it (you have to be up close to see the hole and you need to move the camera.) it's just something that could easily be made into a non-VR title (which is why i'm assuming it's a timed exclusive to PSVR)

It's not really even pretentious because they didn't claim that it was this insanely deep thing. In the video, they said it was a simple arcade game. They just used big words to describe the design process.
Phil Fish is a prick but this game looks neat and has a really nice aesthetic to it. If I ever get PSVR I might pick it up.

The game looks... OKAY but it lacks any charme and personality, IT'S JUST THERE,
it looks like something that gets thrown after you in an indiegala bundle, just by the looks.
I am sure it has a bit more depth to it but the way it's presented seems a bit loveless.

Not that far off. ThruSpace gave me a lot of Bit.Trip vibes, too.
I've got this notion in my mind that its going to be some super awesome ARG game and right now the're just selling it super low key. But I might just be being a bit too hopeful.
