Just because other users are dicks on FP doesn't mean you have to lower yourself to their standards. Most of the respected users that I've seen here are very decent posters who put forwards sensible arguments and such, and also most importantly have a great deal of empathy. What makes a great guy IRL makes a great guy on FP in my opinion. Also, what about the guy who was on the receiving end of the "idiot". pretty sure he didn't find it cool.
