Goddamn, Ricers are embarrasing. I remember seeing those types all over Georgia, especially in my high school parking lot.
Is this an asian RWJ?

Dude :v: I thought that as well
The title made it sound like it'd be from Car Throttle. Ricers are the worst kind though. Usually I don't mind if people do what they're passionate about but I can't see anyone being passionate about ricing their little Golf 3 with cut springs and 20" rims

I can't be the only that one that cringes hardly when I see a cambered fucking car.
Yeah, i cringe the most when i see a toed or a castered car.
I can't even watch this, the auto-gore is too much.
seems like this guy needs to get better at not relying on jumpcut-style narration
but hey, he sourced all his referenced videos so that's already a great start.

You meant camber, right?

No, i fully realize what camber, toe and caster is.
My post was just a play on the post above mine, how can a car be "cambered" ? I think what he meant is hes displeased by excessive negative camber.

Yes, and cars with "excessive negative camber" are referred to colloquially as "cambered." I'm not sure if you didn't know this or you're just trying to be a pretentious ass.

And that just makes you sound like an ass. It's a pretty common term, I hear "stanced" more often and while "cambered" annoys me just as much, it's a valid word to toss around.
As the owner of an automatic Honda Prelude, I despise pretty much every other Honda owner.
Now why do I mention it's automatic? Most ricers solicit some sort of race and even with an auto, some decent throttle control lets me put them in their place. Because for them it's all about appearance and not performance. (I know, I'm terrible for stooping to their level, but someone's gotta give them a slap to the face...)

yeah. I'm pretty sure a microprocessor can shift better and smoother than just about anyone. even the guys on CarTalk who have collectively 60+ years of experience working on all kinds of cars say modern automatic cars are far superior
Jump cuts......
"Ricing" became the synonym of tasteless, crap customization

Depends a lot on the car. I know you said modern, but most 'ricer cars' are from the 1990's, and those automatic Honda transmissions are everything but quick shifting. Still depends a lot on the car nowadays. Even though automatics have become a lot quicker at shifting (counting those with torque converters, double clutch transmissions are basically instant), you could probably outshift a modern Honda automatic using a manual and some tip-toeing. I haven't driven a modern automatic Honda, nearly every single one is manual here, but my father's Mercedes only shifts quickly if it's in sport, and at best, you would still be able to shift a manual transmission at the same speed.

My tranny's a piece of shit, just goes to show that these ricers don't know how to tune a car, let alone drive one. Granted if they knew how to drive one they'd understand how their "mods" are functionally garbage.
owning a honda and trying to put lighter wheels and a better exhaust while avoiding looking like a ricer is nil impossible
I left my RSX stock and everyone hates me.
I get weird dudebros being like "what the fuck is wrong with you, you don't deserve it brah"
I'm pretty sure I like the way it looks stock, holy shit
I live in Maine and I hate every Subaru driving piece of shit here in New England, they all think "subies" are the best cars in the entire world and turn their nose up to anything else when in reality Subaru is pretty much plastic on plastic on plastic. Don't get me started on the part of the population that thinks its "cool" to "trick out" ones "subie" with a fartcan muffler and "racer" flat gold rims, lets not forget the turbos and big fat spoilers. The personality of these kinds of people is even worse "UGH!!! THEY ARE LIKE FOR STREET RACING BRO"

Interesting that the "Sport" mode for Mercedes autos is like that, my only experience with Sport modes is with Volkswagens and they just let the engine rev higher before shifting.

Fellow Mainer. I like Subaru for what they are, but I have to agree with you. Bonus points for the people who get them because "All wheel drive will make it really good in the snow," and then crash into snowbanks because they're going way too fast for the conditions.
I have to say I say a lot more pickups with like an 8 foot lift than riced out cars on a typical day though.

My Toyota granny car has a "power" mode that just adjusts the shift pattern in the same way. It's kind of neat, but I'm pretty sure the car is also programmed to adopt the very same shifting pattern if you push the pedal past a certain point. I figured they were all like that since it's not a physical change, wonder how the Merc does it.
Ricers are so much fun to watch.
When is the next/first Ricer car show?
Because... its a style!!! :P
