The DBZ games for PS2 were some of my favorite fighting games to play with friends. I like fast action fighting games.

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was the closest to have all the sagas and movies. The third game ruined that part but at least they balanced the game and the items can't make you over powered anymore.

It's amazing, but it still doesn't compare to some of the older DBZ games.
Though the newer ones all suck.
Eh, I'm still waiting on a current gen sequel to Budokai 3. Will pass on this.

and along with this, I thought Budokai Tenckachi (or w/e) 3 was the best, I've played quite a bit of fighting games but nothing has ever been as satisfying as the whole "punchpunchpunchpunch charged punch, and then Kamehameha as they fly away"

that said this doesn't look like it goes that far into the sagas, i didnt say any androids or cell for that matter, the only thing im really seeing this game being good at is the introduction of multiple enemies/allies fighting at the same time and the graphics are pretty stellar.
The Budokai series were solid fighting games, but the Budokai Tenkaichi/Raging Blast series were solid DBZ simulators imo.

the 3d space aspect of DBZ is really what makes it DBZ, Budokai was really just a cash-in on fighting games that turned out to be pretty fucking awesome. I still remember that Budokai that let you fuse Yamcha and Tien, and Freeza and Cell and shit. Anyone remember that one glitch in one of the game where you could go to the shop and glitch the progress percentage up until you had all the characters/items?

I don't believe it's a rumour, the guy who made DBZ confirmed something like 200+ episodes is what I recall hearing.

I knew the movie did well but i wasn't aware of them making a new series. If so, i hope it and the movie get brought over.

Same here, but after watching TFS Abridged I can't go back to the Funimation dub. It's just awful.
It looks good. I am one of the few that enjoyed Ultimate Tenkaichi, but to put that into perspective I've hated all of the DBZ games since Tenkaichi 2 and 3. I especially hated Raging Blast and Burst Limit. Like, a ton. Main reason I enjoyed Ultimate Tenkaichi was the custom character creator, though. Beyond that it wasn't the greatest. This has my attention for sure.

Also, when I watch anime and things, I watch in Japanese with subtitles nearly 100% of the time. But I have to say that anybody who tells you to watch DBZ in Japanese has to be messing with you. Goku sounds like a 12 year old boy that sucked down a gallon of helium in the Japanese version and it completely destroys any sense of seriousness and ruins tense moments. Because the Japanese voice actor for Goku is a woman. In DBZ. When he's an adult.
