God damm well done ad about speeding
new zealand always have great ads for this sort of stuff. speeding, drink driving, all that jazz.
Holy fuck that's a good ad
Wow pluck the heart strings why don't you :(
Watched it twice. Ads NEVER do that to me.

Same, holy shit.
new zealand always have great ads for this sort of stuff. speeding, drink driving, all that jazz.
Yeah, there was this really good one posted a while back against drunk driving that came from NZ

Legend
My shoulders tensed up when the cars impacted.
When it comes to ads like these the UK has some pretty fucked up road safety adverts

Nobody would drive over 100 kilometers per hour on that road unless they wanted to jump like the General Lee...

Nice ad and all but I don't really like how worded it at the end, it pretty much sounds like 'It doesn't matter what you do but if something goes wrong it is your fault', but then again it is an ad about speeding so it makes sense.

it's more like 'other people can be fucking stupid, watch out for them.'

even if you think you can handle high speeds without making a mistake that doesn't mean other people are going to not make them
The message does have that whole "we've tried telling speeders they're in the wrong, we'll try a different tack" vibe about it
It's not advocating speeding, it doesn't need to point out speeding is wrong - when a speeder is numb to that message something like this may actually hit home.

Casual speeder here. I see nothing wrong with speeding, but I can definitely understand and get behind the idea that other people might not expect me going faster than other cars and will pull out in front of me because they're bad at speed-measuring with their eyes.
The winnipeg ad did nothing for me. The little girl ran out into the street without looking - this absolves the speeder completely. Bad parenting yo.
Here in NZ there seems to be an unwritten rule that the actual speed limit is 7 km over the speed limit. i.e if its 50 kph, you can go 57 kph. And I guess the police are getting pissed off about it.

you call bad parenting when she throws rocks at other people's houses or something
not when you run over a kid because you wanted to look cool lol

A little girl running into the street in a 30 road does not absolve the speeder. Literally 30 for a reason, children don't have good attention span and they might not even know much about road safety.
They teach you this over and over in driving school/lessons how can you be so dense.
I think we make the best ads of all, being able to give people a laugh out of something serious while keeping people interested.

Urrrgh. How frank can I be about the statement I'm going to say? Well, you seem like the type of jackass who screams "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME" at the scene of a accident that you probably caused.

100 kph on that road really isn't much, there's plenty of roads like this in Aus with a speed limit of 100 (without the intersection obviously because then it would be much lower), you really wouldn't get air there even at 100.

You want me to explain my post here? It can get pretty long and involves a lot of equations and video analysis.
Yes, because either your explanation will be entertainingly right, or entertainingly wrong.

I don't understand this nonchalant attitude towards speeding
It's all dependent on the road that you're on, no one goes down a road and thinks "Well the speed limit is 35 so that means I have to do 45" you just drive responsibly, speed isn't a factor. If you're on a road with multiple entrances and pedestrians and shit like that then slow your row, chief
The only time I think speeding would be something that's nearly required is on highways, because highway speed limits are bullshit and the only people who follow them get pulled over for impeding the flow of traffic
