I literally don't know what to say after watching this
[sp]What the fuck do energy drinks have to do with this[/sp]
I remember seeing this late at night a couple of weeks ago.
Reminded me why I don't watch tv a lot.
#rule 34
That's not how you use that
And way to use that out of context
God hates dogs was kinda funny though
this is pretty dumb
saying it on the internet... then saying it in real life, people can actually see your face, and punch it
that and you can easily ignore people on the internet

that
that doesn't even make sense. This is just V trying to appeal to the internet hipster geeks, but failing miserably by doing everything wrongly. What the fuck will energy drink do to "silence trolls"?

I'm pretty sure tumblr user Shikajika puts my thoughts about stuff like this in a more coherent way than I could ever do.
I don’t really hate memes on their own that much. If you’re just saying a bunch of repetitive jokes for the sake of a quick laugh then fine, whatever, but I hate how once they leave their place of origin they become this fucked up form of social currency which allow people to latch onto them without having to experience their original context to appear funny.
But at that point it’s not funny; the meme has left any specific context and its sole humour is now simply just that some people are aware of its existence, so when people say something like “cool story bro”, it’s not for its original sake of diffusing a lengthy retort on a board where it was not welcome, it is for the sake of saying “check it out: I know of the infamous meme ‘cool story bro’”.
This has happened before web-culture was such a big thing, though. Take Mr.T for example. Out of everybody who grew up in my year group when I was at school, probably about 5 - 10 of them watched the A Team, yet everybody is aware of Mr.T as a character, not because of any memories they have of the show itself, but through constant parody and reference through more currently popular shows like Family Guy. They don’t need to know anything about the A Team as a series because the character has been taken so far out of context he no longer needs to be satirised because the mere mention of him can be a joke in itself. That’s the same reason Shrek jokes and Chuck Norris jokes are annoying too.
I can deal with this just fine as a thing that people do on Facebook and Tumblr and 4chan even if it is annoying, but when all of this stuff manages to work its way into advertising, movies, musicals and television it just becomes a vehicle for lazy writing that will still get a sure-fire laugh from most of the audience, at which point, all of it sort of blends into one because loads of people are thinking “if i can cut corners by adding memes to my production, I won’t have to think as critically about the content I’m adding myself”.
I think that’s why a lot of stuff that uses memes as their main driving force like Mad and College Humour tend to be trashy - because they don’t have to think hard about what they’re writing; the memes do the work for them. Fair enough for a few stupid videos, but when you get that same mentality bleeding into things which address the political world or urge you to buy things (even appearing in newspapers and broadcasts) it feels like writers are becoming overly dependent on these flash-jokes.
I know the media can’t always be trusted regardless but this stuff makes people even less likely to think critically about the content or what information is really being given to them - that’s where memes become sort of manipulative, because they have the power to sway people, which can allow them to make bigoted humour look more acceptable or make people ignore negative aspects of something in favour of "the funny phrase I can relate to because I am aware that it exists". Remember when loads of people on Tumblr fawned over Obama because he apparently said something about Pokémon and there was a gif of him on a skateboard, but none of them knew anything about him as a politician? Yeahhh
I’m not saying memes have this much power over every person or that everybody is a mindless drone-sheep or that other things haven’t been used to similar effects in the past but all of the above is why I wish memes didn't exist the way they currently do.
Internet culture, and the way it's quickly making it's way into "normal" culture are really incredible phenomenons, and this trashy and impossible to understand commercial is a great example of that
do they even know what rule 34 is?
HOLY SHIT I JUST GOT IT!
They are "trolling" us by doing all that shit on purpuse. (I hope)
It's sad to see all these companies digging up old internet memes and shoving them into mainstream social media to make a quick buck.
I know I sound like a massive hipster saying this, but many of them were better off being jokes that only certain people who went on the internet knew, not lol xD so randum!!!!! jokes people bring up without any context and and slap onto t-shirts.
The way the guy said "PWNED!!!"
I don't know why but that made me laugh.
memes should have stayed on the internet where they belong

They're really driving this "troll" thing into the ground.
I hope their drinks taste like shit.
The worst thing is, there are people out there which would actually believe this shit.
This gave me an idea

It's just a company trying and failing to appeal to the internet "culture".
