PJs are some of the best of the best. Their training is pretty long and grueling, and has a retarded high attrition rate. I think a fairly optimistic rate is high 80%, if I remember right? Takes some really talented individuals to make it through their pipeline, and they're probably THE best first responders in the world. I wanted to be one when I grew up as a kid, until I grew up and realized how incompetent I am at things. :v: Not a ton of people seem to know about them besides the name and the beret, and assume they're soft since Chair Force. But they're some hard fucking duders. Genuine Quiet professionals. NatGeo did a mini series on them, "Inside Combat Rescue" that was cool as fuck.
I wonder if the noise poses a risk of hearing damage to the young children. I've certainly not enjoyed my time in helicopters without earpro.
My girlfriend's brother just left for training, he's headed into this pipeline.
