People gave me a free keyboard in a raffle during a twitch stream. I'm going to have to give a disclaimer on my opinion on this game because I might be bias for this game.
Totally radical!
Wait, did he jump on a body and slide across the floor with it at one point?
This game looks fun as hell, but the procedural generation shaves off so much of the hype for me, personally.
No amount of pre-generated rooms to choose from is substitute for proper pacing and level design.
Oh my god, the price on Steam is $19.96. I love it.

I can't believe a game that came out 21 years ago still costs that much.

It's a roguelike.
I kinda want the collector's edition. It comes with the soundtrack on a cassette tape, a floppy disk, and pogs. They are really going all out for this game.
I normally hate procedural gen because it legitimately causes a shitload of issues but it could work for this.
There are a few games where it does work (Similar to this I mean). So long as you don't pretend that "INFINITE MAPS" is a feature and don't fuck up your list of actual features you are probably OK.

If I remember right I think the randomization is similar to Binding of Isaac. Like, they pre-make the rooms and have them randomly placed into the levels. They probably have random amounts of enemies and items spawn in them though. So this should mean that each room is playable without any problems as they should be man made, just placed in a random order.

If you noticed that there was red blood sliding from it which will be a mechanic in the game. The blood mechanics that I know of is that orange blood will hurt you and red blood and wash out/point over the orange blood. The devs intend for cation of simply killing certain enemies as they can obstruct your path if you're not careful.
hope the orange blood doesn't effect the pace of the game.
Did they ever tone back how intense the player's view shifts when hurt? It was nonsense in an older public demo version, I swear the camera could shift a good 90 degrees at times.
