Reminds me of the "Triangle" episode of the X-files, it had long 5 minute steadicam scenes. Also reminds me of Russian Ark (look it up).
Reminds me a bit of children of men, that had some absolutely incredible long single takes. [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuZSmSBLWAg[/media] The whole first 6 minutes is one take, Imagine setting that all up and getting it to work.
Anyone have a video of just that scene and shot? I haven't seen Hugo.

reminds me of citizen kane where the camera goes through a table (it's two pieces and is put together just as the camera passes)
