There was a video posted a few months ago analysing his subtitle work, compared to other youtubers who do similar things. In short, he does it well because he doesn't take many shortcuts.

Copyright reasons.
He can't just call it battlegrounds because like we saw with hearth, scrolls, and some other nonsense he'd be forced to change the name due to brand identity and legal pressure. So he put his own name on front of it to circumvent that.
Besides, it's not a stupid name anyway. When you Solo Queue for anything you're joining pubs. Pubbers. So Playerunknown Battlegrounds comes to PUB for short. It's not that bad
From what he said during a stream, the letters breaking with the fence took him at least 8 hours to make as he was trying out different methods.
