For some reason this story mode is really emphasizing the quirkness of the Marvel and Capcom crossover, from what i've seen so far from the Story Demo. If there's a joke or interaction to be made, it's always people from each side interacting specifically. So they probably did Ultron-Sigma as sort of an extreme extent of it.
