Alright, realistically speaking here, aside from the terrible plot premise and the live action garbage, the CG sections and the designs of most of what I saw there I can dig. It still has that 90's cheap CGI cheese to it that Reboot and other shows made by the same studio were known for with a bit of a modern twist and I actually [I]like[/I] that. But, unfortunately, it's ruined by LITERALLY everything else.

It both looks terrible and a rip off of [URL="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zixx"]Zixx[/URL] if anyone here ever even saw it, let alone remembers it.

So there's a likelihood that this new series takes ideas from it, or it's just a really convenient coincidence.

Honestly, I think the whole pull for ReBoot was that it was a CGI television series made in a time where that kind of thing was a real novelty. Now you see all kinds of shows use CGI like it's nothing. Re-releasing it today and turning it into a live action netflix-tier Code Lyoko ripoff just seemed like a bad idea even before I watched that awful trailer.

this is one of those times where it seems like they just decided to add a recognizable franchise onto an unrelated project like if they're trying to bank on nostalgia, why are they making the show some lame looking YA-targeted coming of age story? why even bother having it be ReBoot characters at that point?
