[HD]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p14IvU9P06c[/HD] There's plenty more where this came from. I think Worms is one of the finest concepts in game design, so I want to see Team17 succeed for being in the game so long, and putting everything they've got into this next one. [editline]edit[/editline]
One more As a strategic game, Worms could have so many different weapons that crafting weapons between turns is just a genius idea. Such a pleasant surprise that I couldn't even think of. :hypeisreal:
This is probably the biggest change in the Worms formula Team17 ever made. I can't wait to see it in action myself!

ranked play, as if the hardcore worms lunatics will ever play anything other than W:A again I must admit it looks fun though
Looks fun as fuck, glad they went back to the 2D art style too. I didn't like any of the 3D Worms games even in Revolution where the gameplay was still 2D.
They had a brief stint with Lemmings on the PSP I think
Have Team 17 actually made anything aside from Worms in the 25 years they've been around?
As for Team 17 itself, I think they made the Alien Bleed series - which wasn't really successfull They however do publish a TON of indie games - I think they'll publish Yooka-Laylee when it ships
ranked play, as if the hardcore worms lunatics will ever play anything other than W:A again I must admit it looks fun though
It's supposed to be the next Armageddon.
Wow that looks great. I like the art style.
Man, this made me feel like playing World Party again. I couldn't even speak English back when I first played it online sometime in 2000-2001 :v: I played Armageddon at a friend's house before that, but World Party was the first Worms game that I owned.
every worms game is supposed to be the next Armageddon. I gave up on that dream a long time ago and just went back to play Worms Armageddon tbh.
They have done some streams of WMD and they discussed how there are actually parts of Armageddon's code that are more or less pasted into WMD. Stuff like the rigid Ninja Rope physics are coming back. They also note how they wanted the worms to fly and slide kind of like they did in Armageddon. Worms: Reloaded was pretty good imo, but it definitely lacked the weaponry that Armageddon has. With all the weapon reveals that WMD has been teasing, it seems as though this will make up for what the other Worms games have been lacking recently. This game shows promise. Even if it doesn't end up being the next Armageddon, it will still be heaps of fun with all the new stuff they are throwing in.

Just give us a remastered Armageddon and I'll be so happy The physics were perfect

Especially being able to import photos for maps.
TACTICAL THERMAL NUCLEAR WORMFARE

I oh good, I hope they have the classic worm voices. I don't like the ones in the trailer.
I thought red was always the bad guys' color of so I just attacked my own team for a while offline.
Said friend with whom I played Armageddon once tricked me that the white flag was a small throwing axe. Bastard.
Well hopefully the game won't end up dead within a few weeks like Revolution did
I always have Worms 2: Armageddon on my phone, fun as fuck to play with friends passing the phone around
I really hope this is good, Worms Armageddon is my all time favorite party game and I still play it with friends. Well, still played rather. Recently in the oddest stroke of bad luck it stopped working on all our computers because the screen goes black and it runs at 1 fps, and we can't find anything on google, so we literally can't play it any more, which is infuriating because it was our go to and we liked it better than any of the newer ones.
Call me a heretic but I remember having good fun with 3D worms.
I just hope they learned their lesson with DLC and will be letting players put hats and voice packs on the Workshop again. Also, not a fan of those new worm designs, but that might just be because they haven't significantly changed in the last 10 years or so.
churning out a new worms game every year for full price still, eh?
every worms game is supposed to be the next Armageddon. I gave up on that dream a long time ago and just went back to play Worms Armageddon tbh.
Seriously though, no they're not. Like Cold Finger said, this is the first time that they're actually aiming to make it like Armageddon.
churning out a new worms game every year for full price still, eh?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worms_(series)#Games You're right, every year since 2003
Looks like great fun and a tapping into Worms Armageddon (which is great because WA doesn't work on my machine) I didn't care much for the Worms HD+ Reloaded and Revolution...but y'know...Worms Ultimate Mayhem wasn't a bad game at all, I'd say it was definitely the best one out of the 3d games.
it looks like worms Armageddon but other than vehicular warfare I don't see what's so different about it? The explosions look really nice though
It seems like most Worms games as of the last few years in some way or another try to mention being inspired by Armageddon - which isn't necessarily a bad thing, mind you, but I do think that it's becoming a bit overused for them to try an advertise most of their current Worms games like that.
