It's even more depressing when you go back and realize that he speaks so highly of his wife in several of his videos. Saying things like, "At least I've got my wonderful wife and my wonderful dog." But it definitely seems like this is for the best and I hope he has a lot of fun living the bachelor life while he can.

I think he's caught a huge break in recent times. He's losing weight rapidly because of the surgery and he's mentally healthier than he's ever been. It's far from all negative.

Wait why would heart surgery have such a significant impact on divorce rates?

iirc his surgery significantly decreased the size of his stomach, so he has very little urge to eat even a fraction as much as he used to. very stressful to go through in the beginning since you find yourself in the opposite situation by not eating enough to keep yourself properly energized

The most common reason is usually a change in the power dynamic. Generally people in a relationship where one is to the point where they need a bypass operation, the healthier partner can see themselves as a caregiver - to a point, psychologically a caregiver will feel that they must stay with their loved one for lack of options (insofar as their partner will be unable to care for themselves or has no access to other care options) - over the last 7 years boogie has been dealing with his weight and anxiety, and his wife, theoretically, fell into a position where a major part of their relationship was her caring for him.
My view on it: Once the bypass was performed, and as recovery goes on, boogie loses more weight, is able to be more physically active, and can do more things for himself - this finally relieves the stress on his wife from needing to take care of him, and she is able to focus on herself more. This is what usually leads to the realization that the caretaker is no longer needed, they can move on.

Im saddened that this has happened but I am glad that they are still friends. That's the best thing from all of this. There is no anger, spite, hate ect between the two. Hope Boogie can keep himself up!

I remember streaming the binding of isaac on twitch one day because I was bored and I had like 3 viewers, suddenly there were hundreds of viewers and after boogie showed up in my chat and talked to me I realized he raided my stream.
He actually went out of his way to bring his huge audience to my random small stream, really a great guy.

Boogie is a good person, he is actually not a nice person in the stereotypical sense and he's been saying that for a while, and now we have the complete context for his statements, and now the Francis character actually comes full circle.
Francis without the multi-takes and youtube-safe sanitization is who Boogie is when he's at full tilt anxiety and he's probably a raging asshole when the fear is at its peak. Not like physically abusive or a keen fuckface, but he's probably said and thought some shit that would lose him half his userbase if they heard it. He's said many times he's a nihilist and fatalist at heart and that would track pretty well. What you see on youtube is who he can be part time and wants to be full time, hence the last three years of effort, but when the walls are closing in and everything just really fucking sucks right now and WOULD YOU JUST STOP TRYING TO FUCKING TELL ME IT'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT WHEN IT'S NOT FUCKING ALL RIGHT, he's probably Francis x 10, and that kind of interaction takes a toll on everyone around you.

I wasn't judging him or his wife at all, I don't know enough about his private life and overall situation to make that judgement.
I just wanted to tell my experience with him and wish him well, that's all, and I'm sure they both had a good reason to break up too and I'm blaming neither of them.
I haven't seen any Boogie videos in a while and goddamn, he looks good.
Hoping things get better for him sooner rather than later.

Massive respect to both of them for handling the divorce so well. In my opinion people staying friends after a breakup is one of the strongest signs of maturity (at least in respect to relationships) you can have.

It's just a bunch of redditors grinding the rumor mill but having watching Boogies streams for a while I did notice how for a few times Boogie answered "she's just away for the weekend, she needed some time off" on the question where his wife was.
I don't really like to think about it much further then that since it's all just sad, Doesn't help that the chat goes into a "CUCK!" spree but that's Twitch being Twitch..
