the rats and spring razors remind me of the rat-bombs from that game Devastation
Oh god yes. Has it ever been confirmed for PC release?
A mix between Bioshock and Dark Messiah?
Looks cool!
Well I'm totally sold now.
Disagrees? I guess I'm not gonna buy it then :v:
Is that supposed to say "Friendy Fire" at 1:57?
Oh god yes. Has it ever been confirmed for PC release?
Yes.
I'm really surprised people don't know much about this.
Taking away the ridiculously stupid pre-order shit, this is looking more awesome by the minute.

What pre order shit?
I was sold at the "friendly fire" bit, using a soldiers own bullet to kill him, fucking cool.
Although I wish they used a better engine. The lighting looks like ass and the models look low quality.
It a mechanic overload... I doubt anyone will effectively use 60% of the powers.
What pre order shit?
Preordering from different retailers gives you different bonuses/powers.

Considering the way that most levels are set up I honestly doubt that.

You can stop time to put mines under someone feet. Or while in a firefight, stop time, take one of the gunners and place him in front of his own coming bullet.
This all sounds nice and all... but you have enough firepower to just shoot them instead of fucking around.
The levels are made for a direct fight with enemies or sneaking around... turning into a rat, jumping and shooting comes in useful... the rest is just unpolished mechanics.
I'm really looking forward to this game. And even though graphically it's no Crysis 2, I like the slightly cartoonish art direction.
the rest is just unpolished mechanics.
How so? They provide us with a variety of different tools and let us run wild. You can spend an entire session searching for special items and treasure, playing with your supernatural powers, or going straight for your target. I don't quite get how these are unpolished mechanics since they can complement a variety of playstyles.
Blink -- teleport short distances;
Celerity -- accelerate speed;
Dark Vision -- improve vision;
Devouring Swarm -- summon rats;
Feather -- fall great distances without injury;
Fire -- set things on fire;
Healing - heal injuries;
Ice -- freeze things;
Agility -- jump great distances and sprint faster;
Possession -- control sentient beings;
Time Bend -- stop time momentarily; and
Windblast -- create a gust of wind.
Waiting for new console generations to improve the graphical standard gets really old really fast.
That seems overcomplicated.
That seems overcomplicated.
Yes but getting your target killed by a firing squad of his own guards can be hilarious.
That seems overcomplicated.
Am I the only one who finds this attitude absurd? Creative kills are part of the fun and replay value.
Hitman proved having long thought out kills could be hella fun to do while still giving the option to cut to the chase.
Oh god I feel so bad for those guards.

Looks kinda iffy, i mean look at that ragdoll when you use the rat mines.
It's like doing a bunch of shit with no real payoff, i expect this gameplay to be broken as fuck.
I don't mind more possibilties and such, but if you can just pull shit like this out of your ass without planning anything big it's making everything way too easy.
Remember in Bioshock when you had to put down lots a traps and actually use the enviroment as a gameplay thing, this just seems like you can make enemies drop no matter what you do.
Giving no sense of purpose to use alot of it, like the prototype syndrome.
Plus the whole thing just looks like it needs polish if you ask me.
But hey that's just me, i wouldn't get my hopes up guys. I'd rather just play thief again than play with his down-syndrome brother that looks like some angsty slipknot fan.

You can't just use these powers constantly, there's strategy involved regarding power usage and that will be a major balancing factor. Those tall boys are fucking bastards when paired with more foot soldiers or other tall boys, in which case you'll need to get creative because you're hardly all that capable of taking them down like they were nothing in a short amount of time.

Those poor elitist guards, now who will be left to abuse poor people claiming they've got the plague when they really don't?
This looks like the spiritual successor to Geist, awesome.
Wow, removed?

I am sure not all of them are like that.
I turned on the video, and walked away to do something else while it buffered.
I came back, started playing and pressed fullscreen. Then it discarded everything that was already buffered and started over again. Annoying as fuck.
Even more annoying to find out that the video has since been removed.

From the videos I've watched your powers use up a lot of mana. Blink uses almost 1/3 of the bar and Time Bend used over half.

It's called being creative and having an imagination go get some of both and try the game when it comes out before complaining.
