Watch_Dogs is shit, but it's good
I am really really worried about The Division after this.
fucking cant stand this guy at all
fucking cant stand this guy at all
How so?
Hm. Didn't know about all this controversy from E3 and such. Game looks good though, except for all of those annoying puzzles and minigames.
fucking cant stand this guy at all
so why enter a thread about his content?
How so?
everything, he acts like a cock, and those things he does at the start of each video make me cringe so fucking hard and are really fucking obnoxious [editline]8th June 2014[/editline]
so why enter a thread about his content?
sorry for voicing my opinion wont happen again

This is a review, his own personal analysis and opinion of a game, not a representation of a majority's opinion. Either way saying that shit is dumb. The humour or attempts at it might not appeal to everyone and it can be hit and miss, but its mostly done because Joe is that sort of upbeat guy, and I find that really appreciable in a positive way. I'd say just skip them but since you're obviously of the mind that because he fails to impress you he deserves to be reviled that'd be pretty pointless I should also point out that people that behave like that disgust me
How so?
Don't ask, it only accelerates the derailing argument that happens in every Angry Joe thread.
Angry Joe's whole persona and skits often are obnoxious, but he makes some very solid points about the games he plays and the fact he's basically an amateur reviewer that's not tied to any big journalism website means he can just call things out for being shit or scummy and no one can stop him. I think it was Pat from Two Best Friends that said that Joe was basically a necessary evil, he's not exactly appealing to everyone, but his reviews are solid and complete enough to overlook his character. About Watch_Dogs. It's not worth 60 euros, whatsoever. It's barebones in many aspects, graphically it's very uneven (some places look great, some others look like utter fucking garbage), the gameplay is basic and uninspired, the hacking itself lacks variety and the story is pretty shit. Doesn't mean the game has only bad aspects though, it's fun to fuck around (as with all open world games), the randomly generated profiles as well as the intercepted calls and texts can be funny, there's a lot of unlockable outfits (most of which are better than the DLC ones) and the digital trips are legitimately good. The game just doesn't feel like it belongs with a $60 pricetag. On the graphics : Watch this with a HTML5 player and at x2 speed and you'll get 60fps footage of the game by Benbuja. Some sections look like they're out of a mid-generation 360 game rather than a new gen title.
I am really really worried about The Division after this.
Now I'm concerned about The Division seeing how this had many Short comings.

All that Joe really needs to do is learn to green screen better.
Is Joe obnoxious and a tad annoying at times? Yes, it's obvious. But he brings up a lot of good points that ~gaming journalism~ is paid off not to do.
Also I have to say, Joe has got some really good points but i really liked the game.

I'm also pretty sure the most common way of recording 60fps footage is to record it in slow motion then speed it up.
I wonder youtube should allow 60fps video by now with a 30fps mode for those who can't buffer 60fps video. We have 4k HD which is WAY LARGER than 1080 60fps in filesize even with h265. Although there is smooth video project, can't be done on the browser though.

But I see where you're coming from v:v:v

He's supposed to be a professional but clearly he doesn't have what it takes.
He's supposed to be a professional
Haha what? No he isn't.
having recently learned how to do chromakey and plate extraction at school, I can't watch angry joe's videos anymore without wishing I could pop the video into nuke and get rid of the green :v:
Angry Joe has been shit at video production for as long as he's done videos. He just doesn't care enough. In 20 years he'll still be clipping his audio and have tons of chroma bleeding.
Haha what? No he isn't.
He's paid for what he does, he's a professional. Literally the textbook definition.
He's paid for what he does, he's a professional. "a professional boxer" synonyms: paid, salaried, non-amateur, full-time More antonyms: amateur informalderogatory habitually making a feature of a particular activity or attribute. "a professional gloom-monger"
You're using the bolded definition in the first post to shame him by saying he doesn't fulfil the criteria to be a professional whereas here you're attempting to confirm that he is so your insult works by using the secondary, far more broad definition, despite the fact that the two cannot coexist towards the same end you are trying to put across in the context of your first post I should point out that is ironic that you are shaming him and now you're a bad person and should be reviled justifiably by everyone *cough* Also [citation needed] on that first post. Besides the fact that I was pointing out that reviling someone for the quality of their content is stupid, not reviling them for their own actions.

Even with that trick, the game's FPS fluctuates so wildly due to shitty performance that it still doesn't look like 60fps.
AJ's reviews are good but they always goes out on these skits that make the review come off very cheesy. Not to mention he spends so much time on the scripts and being fake mad that it pushes his reviews past the point where most of the internet and people already know about the game.
He's paid for what he does, he's a professional. Literally the textbook definition.
Textbook maybe, but not in sensical way. Just because he is paid does not mean he has to obey by some professional standard since he gets paid without obeying it.
