how the fuck can you be a professional at this
Well, they're not really tasers, they're stun-guns. Stun-guns are really about pain compliance and do not incapacitate targets. Two different worlds to be honest. A stun gun feels like a really intense Charley horse. Nothing more. Taser on the other hand override someones nervous system and incapacitate someone. I hate to be a party pooper, but it isn't really intense sport or even "Extreme." It is funny though. Also in the video it says "cops use them" cops uses TASERS not stun guns.
To be honest it looks pretty fun.
fake
fake
not fake also fun fact: Thomas Taylor (the guy with the red hair) plays paintball professionally.
Goalies should have cattle prods.

You're describing the difference between a low (er) and higher power stun gun/taser - police generally use stun guns/tasers designed to incapacitate someone. The type you're call a "stun gun" is probably a lower power civi personal defense one, with less potential to affect large areas of the body. It is the exact same method of operation as police devices (its just that one is designed to take someone down effectively, the other is to scare off would-be rapists). Interesting sport, would suck to have the ball and get tased by four people at once :P
This is how blood sports begin. Brb grabbing flak cannon.

Our main weapons are tasers, sometimes stun-guns (rarely though because they're shit) I've used stun-guns, stun-shields, stun belt, tasers and in order to get certified i've had these used against myself and most importantly i've used them regularly. Stun guns and tasers are not the same thing. Tasers shoot probes, a taser can be used as a stun-gun when there is no cartridge. At that point it isn't as effective and again, you're going with pain compliance (IE that hurts, so i'm going to stop and listen to the officer). Taser is a copyrighted name of the weapon, anything else isn't a taser. Its a stun-gun. Police don't use high powered stun guns anymore, you will rarely see it because it requires someone to be extremely close. At arms length. All police use tasers seeing as that is the standard now and really the only thing departments approve. At that point you might as well just go hands on and use grappling and pressure points, it is more effective. Fact, civi-stun guns actually have more volts then a regular taser which is 50,000. So they're not lower power civi defense one, they're just shit and are for pain compliance. They're similar but completely two different applications. A stun-gun is a direct contact weapon, in order to be effective you actually have to keep the prongs on the subject in-order to get any type of response. Which is hard when you're fighting or hitting a moving target. Normally it takes a few seconds 3-10 to get a proper response. I've actually used a stun-gun against myself and It didn't incapacitate me, put in mind i held it down for like 3 seconds. It just felt like someone came up and punched my leg. It also does not have an effect on inmates, the only time i used it was when someone "jacked" the food tray whole for a solitary cell. It made them move their arms back in the cell so i can secure the room. Taser on the other hand does not rely on power alone like the stun-gun. As said before it used 50,000 volts. It shoots probes in to the skin that are like fishhooks and it goes a few inches in. It basically blocks off the brains signals to the muscles and makes the whole body lock up - stunned. Tasers do not rely on pain compliance (stun-guns, pressure points, etc.) The taser does have what we call drive stun which is basically not using a cartridge and it works like a stun-gun. Completely different devices, different applications, and different effects. I know because I worked in that field and actually have hands on experience with these less then lethal weapons.
Above guy knows his shit, don't question him.
This looks manly as shit
Reminds me of the guys that played Quake with fireworks
I worked in law enforcement......
Respect brother
Holy fucking goddamn. I've played paintball as a hobby and thats fucking exhausting after a couple of hours. Now this: there isn't just small balls ready to hit me in the face, here it's a fucking taser ready to fuck my shit up. I need this.
