Fucking awesome
They put a Steam link in the video description but it just redirects to the store page, my guess (and hopes) is It'll be up on Steam really shortly (Valve time?) Oh here it goes http://store.steampowered.com/app/221100
Daisy is looking awesome
I can allready imagine people whining how being able to execute people and shoot yourself in a video game is immoral and games need to be banned. [editline]16th December 2013[/editline] such a bad trailer really
It's 30 bucks on steam by the way.
24 euro? Eerhh... Bit costy.
I wish i had 30 bucks right now :'((
HAHAHA YOU CAN BLOW YOUR OWN FUCKING BRAINS OUT, SOLD.
So what all is different between this and the mod? Seems pretty much the same.
you can shoot youre self in the face
So what all is different between this and the mod? Seems pretty much the same.
I guess it's got more features and since they had more access to the engine they could fuck around and make it more optimized/better programmed. Apparently most if not all buildings are enter-able now as well with proper interiors. Still has the clunky ArmA controls last time I checked though. That's what turning me off the most, to be honest.
The over the top music doesn't fit this at all, it just sounds like it's trying to add something to a dull game.
Looks pretty good, other than the fact that the person was about to try to drink a water from a bottle with the lid still on it at 00:43
Looks pretty good, other than the fact that the person was about to try to drink a water from a bottle with the lid still on it at 00:43
It's a survival technique. You wouldn't understand.
So what all is different between this and the mod? Seems pretty much the same.
Think of this as being how he wanted the mod to be. To sum up a great deal of the changes, they now have their own branch of the Arma engine and it is all rewritten into that rather than on the scripting level, as well as changes to the architecture. This means they have a lot more control over changing/adding things as they no longer have to result to hackjobs. A few different things: - Loads more items all with new models, much easier for them to add new stuff - Equipment wearing, damage/protection when shot by players - Weapon attachment system - Almost every building enterable and also fully furnished - Entirely different loot spawns, individual items that can spawn in smaller spaces, under things etc so you have to actually look around for loot rather than just loot piles on the floor - Disease/disinfecting system, various diseases with various side effects, they can be transferred through proximity, giving player blood, food, using same equipment etc - New player/zombie animations - Crafting system, can combine/use loads of different items, for example flare+aerosol can = makeshift grenade, add an egg timer to it = timed explosive The list goes on, but it is waaay different from the mod. I can't wait until its all stable and up and running, the single thing that put me off the mod was the bugs, lag and cheaters.
$30 for removed mouse accel and a gui redesign
$30 for removed mouse accel and a gui redesign
Okay. I don't understand now. What is the new DayZ supposed to look like to make to you?
$30 for removed mouse accel and a gui redesign
Yeah, mention 2 changes that are pretty much the smallest changes in the enormous list of actual changes, that's totally fair.
Apparently the trailer was pulled from Steam because if the suicide shot at the end :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/OTa2v7p.png[/t] http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/12/16/dayz-standalone-released-on-steam-early-access/
Wow they really did steal assets from Arma... I wonder how that's gonna go down.
they work for the same people dude, they built it of of a modified Arma 2 engine
Wow they really did steal assets from Arma... I wonder how that's gonna go down.
Its the same company making this.
you can shoot youre self in the face
DayZ - Suicide simulator
DayZ - Suicide simulator
"Now with extra running!"
If the zombies don't walk through walls and are not able to hit you from quite a distance a way I might consider buying it.
Just played an hour or so, seems really polished so far. Tons of content in, I never stopped finding new things, new ways to combine things etc. I found at least 6 different kinds of melee weapon, loads of types of clothes/hats/backpacks, full sized books with 120 or so pages etc etc. I loaded into servers as quick as any other game, and I had no serious lag/disconnected. I got the odd FPS drop for 5 or so seconds but that wasn't common. Overall seems really smooth considering all all factors, it plays magnitudes smoother than the mod.
$30 for removed mouse accel and a gui redesign
Can't tell if people posting stuff like this in every DayZ SA thread are trolling or really that narrow minded/ignorant. Should be classed as trolling tbh since you know fine well it isnt true and are just flame baiting.
If the zombies don't walk through walls and are not able to hit you from quite a distance a way I might consider buying it.
The zombies seem pretty good from what I've played so far, they don't twitch around and run in zigzags at you anymore and it's much easier to just avoid alerting them if you don't let them see you now.
