Made by the same guy who did this last year

Should replay Vice City for just the music.
Also, I like that Miami Vice remix in the trailer. I think they should have done a bit more original music with that vibe for the game instead of relying on existing music.

Something about mixing the low Polly models and environment with modern lighting and special effects seems super appealing to me for some reason.
I appreciate that he moved away from the Max Payne 3 style cinematics. They were neat but they don't fit the 80s aesthetic. But it still doesn't feel quite right to me. It's like their only understanding of the 80s was synth music and bright colors. The cinematography just seems wrong for the period.

That may sound like a weird thing to complain about, but it makes or breaks it. Just look at any of Miami Vice and you can tell it's not hitting the marks it should be

I would love an HD re release of the game using the GTA5 engine
The one thing that kills me about this is how it isn't 1:1 with the original, like with the intro it had Tommy with sunglasses and the dudes who ambushed the deal weren't jumpsuit wearing goons.
Like even though it's nitpicky, I just feel like if you're gonna remake something then at least actually remake it and not change stuff "BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL".

Doing this generally looks like garbage, but in this case it actually looks great, very well made. Would be amazing if someone could make the RAGE-port look this good

I don't know, seems pretty 1:1 to me. In the case of Tommy driving the Cheetah across the bridge, trailers often mix shots from different intervals of the game/movie to make things more interesting and informative, and why wouldn't he be able to wear sunglasses?
And it doesn't even show [sp]Ricardo Diaz's[/sp] men?
Seems like a reminder of Rockstar still not being able to make another masterpiece GTA after Vice City.

Did you read what I said about "...with the intro..."

Again, I feel like if you're gonna go through the effort to remaster something then at least make an attempt to get it as close to the original as you can. Lighting, camera angles, etc. I'm fine with because again, it's a remaster, but don't throw random stuff in that wasn't in the original.
imho I think it's fine to take artistic liberties if it means it'll benefit the aesthetics. And as mentioned by Rixxz2 earlier trailers do often mix and match elements often to make things look more interesting or beneficial for the pace of a trailer even if it's slightly inaccurate from the actual content.
First shot in example gives a more 'Sunny Miami' vibe to it with the clothing, and the addition of sunglasses also reinforces that for the 2nd and 3rd one, I will admit though the 2nd shot on the door outside could have kept the arches.
It's just really offputting to see slapped onto Tommy BECAUSE HE LOOKS COOL or Sonny dressed like a strip club manager because it makes him look a lot less mysterious and a lot more tacky.
The technical stuff of making this I can appreciate, but trying to change how something looks for any reason that isn't IT LOOKS COOL is just a shame. If he put shades on Tommy because eyes couldn't be animated, that would at least be a plausible reason behind it, but the fact he appears without them in some scenes throws that into the water.
