• Zelda: Majora's Mask - Fan Remake Preview

Anyone remember the supposed Majora's Mask for Wii U trailer back during E3 2012 that was later proven to be fanmade? Well, it turns out the guy behind the video has been working on this project for quite a bit, and progress has increased greatly since last time. Take a look! Note: This is NOT a full-on remake of Majora's Mask. It is simply (from what I can tell) a recreation of the world of Majora's Mask in hi-def graphics.
Looks awesome!!
Amazing amounts of dedication from these people.
This is the single greatest thing I've seen since the original Majora's Mask.
Fuck me sideways, that's a gorgeous artstyle
Loved the parts where they filmed their fucking monitors with a shitty camcorder.
Loved the parts where they filmed their fucking monitors with a shitty camcorder.
Guess they were trying to go for a "development preview" style video where the developers record some scenes off-screen to give you a look at what it's like to develop it. Not that I mind it, really.
Please yes
Oh god please please yes give me it please
Looks good, but I'm pretty sure unofficial fan remake are still subject to getting shut down by Nintendo.
I want that fucking happy mask salesman statue, where the fuck do I send money to get that
Can't get excited for this because "WIP" is in the title. It's gonna get CnD'd. He showed it off before it was done, so Nintendo's going to give him a phone call and the project's gonna die.

They only intervene when money gets involved, if this guy asks for money then maybe

Hmm, as it usually goes for this sort of thing I say it's best to not say ANYTHING about your projects to anyone until they're done and released. Not saying anything and just releasing it lets you just be like "Woops sorry evil game company, game's already uploaded nothing I can do now". I get it feels good to get people hyped about the stuff you're putting your heart and soul into but get your glory after it comes out, no point putting in tons of work just to have to get rid of everything you worked on because some ass hole dev/publisher put out a Cease and Desist. Not saying Nintendo will, but it's a common trend with these kinds of projects.

It looks amazing, but I still have no idea what the project is. I initially thought it was a general demonstration of the models/environments they've created, but there's footage of what appears to be a 3DS, and they're calling it an "interactive project".
-Snip- i should probably read

Looks interesting, hope they go through with it. Loads of these kinds of projects tend to be dropped, though.
He shouldn't have posted anything about it until it was finished. Nintendo will cease and desist this so hard if this gains any popularity and traction before its done. That said its looking quite nice, even though programming will take one guy forever no matter how many pretty models you make. MM wasn't exactly simple and had a whole dev team behind it.
Why did they show it. You idiot just release it randomly and let the Internet do the rest. Metroid Prime was going to be remade on Cryengine2 and then they started showing off to everyone that they're doing it. Lo and behold they got shut down.
You guys do know that this isn't a remake right? In the description it states it isn't.
Loved the parts where they filmed their fucking monitors with a shitty camcorder.
One of the monitors they recorded was already playing a video on Windows Media Player. At 0:26 to be exact. :v:
