We, as a nation, failed when we did not sufficiently support this man. He was, and still is, the real deal.

but its her turn/make america great again
the way bernie talks makes me feel like hes the only politician in america who cares about the well being of americans
I'd love to be in the timeline where he was president.
"no more star wars" bernie prediction how bad the prequels were gonna be
I wonder if movies that play in modern times (and where the US president gets shown) will use a what if scenario with Bernie instead of fucking Trump.
Such a fucking savage in this one

We could have saved this country. We still can.
Live by Bernie's example. Be the change you want to see in this country. You don't have to play party politics to hold an office, and you can win an election without being a corporate stooge. Take back our government from the inside. It will be hard, but if this generation fights for it, we can build a country that works for everyone, not just the people at the top. Bernie's campaign proved there is a fire in America's belly. A need to fix our broken system.

yeah, but realistically they'll use clinton or warren
Imagine a timeline with Bernie and Corbyn. It could of existed if there still weren't so many narrow minded racists bigots in the world.
Don't you know? The scary brown people are coming to bomb us and steal our jobs and turn america into a muslim sharia law communist hellhole!
[I'm being sarcastic here but there are people on this forum that actually believe ~90%, if not more, of this statement, which in of itself is frightening.]
This country is over, democracy has proven to be to ripe for corruption in the long run.
Our values our forgotten, and partisanship destroyed the united states.
I expect the US to be a shell of itself by 2050
This makes me
Seriously depressed
The end of the cold war should have created a new era of democracy and global peace, that did not happen.
That lazy clapping after that speech is such an embarrassment.

Actually Bernie didn't lose because of narrow minded bigots, but instead from corrupt Democrats. The Democrats lost because narrow-minded bigots and a shitty candidate.

Let's keep it at "shitty candidate"
Actually Bernie didn't lose because of narrow minded bigots, but instead from corrupt Democrats. The Democrats lost because narrow-minded bigots and a shitty candidate.
Such a wild assumption. DNC collusion did happen but there's no reason to think it had cost Bernie THAT many votes, because he was down by a LOT. Clinton won because, simply put, Democrats wanted her to be the candidate. Bernie could tap into certain demographics well but did horribly with others such as black people.
And hell it's also ignoring the blessings Bernie got as well, such as how he excelled in low-turnout caucuses.
yeah, but realistically they'll use clinton or warren
Don't they usually just make one up entirely?
Let's keep it at "shitty candidate"
I'm not going to claim it single-handedly cost her the election* but you're daft if you don't think America has a rich base of bigotry for politicians to tap into. The Clintons, both of them, have even taken advantage of that in the past, and our politics in general have had a grand history of exploiting that pretty much ever since the civil war.
*with how close it was you could point to a million things and say that they were the tipping point tbh.

it was a mess all around.
it was a mess all around.
No it wasn't. It was Hillary's fault she lost, and her fault alone. Everything Trump said about her is true, and if Trump decided to put her in jail like he promised, he would be right to do so.
I wish more politicians had this man's honesty if nothing else.

You're not actually disproving what they're saying in any way.

"Everything Trump said about her is true."
Whew lad. The Clinton Foundation and the e-mails were situations that were stupidly overblown. Even Sanders acknowledged this.
Also you're neglecting that Sanders and Trump have a whole lot of dirt on them. Jane Sanders is under FBI investigation right now, Catholics that sold her the land for her college want her investigated for fraud, he had millions of dark money donated during his campaign, etc.. And that's just criminal stuff, politics-wise? There's a lot for the Republican propaganda machine to work with. I don't think I have to even get started on the dirt trump has.

Everyone has dirt on them, but vote for them regardless because everyone has dirt on them. It's a race to the bottom now, which presidential candidate can get away with the most amount of shit and get elected anyways, right?

You can't just say that everyone is the same.
And there's other things you can vote on btw. Like. uh. Policy?

You can't just imprison your political opponents because you called them crooked.
You can't just imprison your political opponents because you called them crooked.
You can't go off scot-free for something like the email scandal just because you're the president's political opponent.

No but if it's found that you did nothing worth imprisoning you can

You mean the people that acknowledged there was evidence of wrongdoing but chose not to start a case against Hillary for unclear reasons?
“Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.”
"Clinton’s emails included seven message chains with information classified as top secret."
“None of these emails should have been on any kind of unclassified system.”
“The security culture of the State Department …was generally lacking in the kind of care for classified information found elsewhere in the government.”
Comey acknowledged that the FBI did not normally make public its recommendations to prosecutors as to whether to bring criminal charges. He added: “In this case, given the importance of the matter, I think unusual transparency is in order.”
“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”
“I know there will be intense public debate in the wake of this recommendation, as there was throughout this investigation.”
The email scandal was overblown as fuck sure, but I feel as though that's because it was one of the only things they may have been able to pin on the Clintons. They don't have a long history of political scandals for no reason; they're crooked as fuck, and with all the political "friends" they have it'd be extremely difficult to charge them with anything regardless of what crimes they've actually committed.
