I'm freaked the fuck out with this trailer! The backlash is real when the last game in the series was pretty much a cheesy action movie. Wonder if Chris or Jill will come back for old times sake.

If it's a sequel, then who are we playing as? Wat's the connection to the overarching plot? Are we playing as Jill?

I haven't played much of 2, but I enjoyed the first one. It was a great survival horror game until Chris came into the equation. The first part is eerie as fuck, I love it. The game is just a decent action game after that.
I'm hoping 7 is better than everything else we've gotten in the past 10 years.

I wouldn't mind that. Theres only so much you can do with zombies and T-Virus and the usual RE stuff.

Seems like what 4 did then, by making it take places somewhere completely disconnected, but still relevant somewhat.
When they said that Resident Evil REmake HD was an excellent seller and one of the fastest-selling digital games of their library, I wasn't expecting Capcom to completely dial it all back and go back to the survival horror roots for the next main entry.
Also since this seems to take place in a house with spooky shit, I guess it really is a "Resident Evil" again. :v:
